I would hate to wear a watch where I knew every tiny fault.
What a buzz kill.

Ignorance is bliss in my world.
Sadly this is what happens when we do a bit of research to buy a replica watch, and it’ll all come to how acceptable we are with it.

The dial is tiny in real life... smaller than a 28mm watch. If you can see this kind of detail quit dayjob and become a fighter pilot.

My gen yacht -master 126622 has a slightly crooked 6 market if aligned with this line tool. Even gens have these defects which makes this line thing pointless.

Replica oblivion…
I have this watch and yes the dial
Is ever so slightly shifted in orientation towards the left. ( ie 12 marker is more to the left of centre and 6 marker is more towards right of centre ). This is also likely the cause of the retrograde seconds hand not entirely reaching the markers in the 0-15 sec mark on the seconds arc.

When on the wrist this is not noticeable and no one has quizzed me about this very minor orientation issue when I’ve worn it…😜. It’s a minor flaw in an otherwise brave attempt at repping a very bespoke piece. It’s hypnotic to look at when wearing and something so completely different in appearance and function to so many other “ photocopy” style watch designs that it allows you to forgive its small misdemaeanor….

This one is a keeper in my collection.

At the end of the day its a simple question, do you want a breguet 7097 on your wrist? If so you have two options, this rep at a very reasonable price, or a gen at >£20k. Im very happy with the quality to price ratio of my breguet rep and no amount of red lines will change that opinion.

Thank you, just the respond I needed! I've had a chance to see gen in real and I completely understand you saying its hypnotic to look at.
If it's not noticeable by anyone wanting to look at it then I'll will order one now, me asking checking I know people will be asking to take a look at it just because how hypnotic it is to look at, just hope it's still avaliable. Thanks again!

An apology for my late reply,

The watch arrived a few weeks ago, and I was impressed from the moment I took it out of the box. The watch is tremendously beautiful and hypnotic, it definitely has flaws or I would prefer to call them "differences", even it is not a 1:1 replica, the watch is spectacular, it has too much detail and depth, in addition to the retrograde second hand that works perfectly... I just cannot stop looking it when wearing it.

Something strange that happened to me is that the rotor started to make noise and eventually unscrewed and came off, however it was an extremely simple thing for my local watchmaker to fix (I don't think it happens to everyone)

Another important point.. The strap is rubbish as always so I am awaiting the arrival of a shiny black Delugs strap, however playing with the straps I currently have, I tried to remove the replica strap and it took a lot of work since I couldn't unscrew the spring bar, until I realized that it is secured with a micro screw below the lugs, impressive for a replica watch, I didn't expect that.

In short, if you feel a little interest in buying this watch, you will not be disappointed, it is incredible, I already want to see how it will look with the new strap.
Do you know if we can use regular springbar type straps on this watch with the generic springbar? Will it lineup with the breguet holes and not rattle?

Yes, you can use regular leather strap in 7097, but the watch uses special screw spring bar to secure the leather strap.
Regular springbar will never fit into the watch's screw spring bar hole.

Gents, what's the movement on this one? My crown broke and need to know movement so I can get the correct stem.

Anyone?

It’s a custom ZF movement… you won’t find off the shelf parts to fix it. I was warned about this when I purchased mine. Basically if it breaks, it may mean a new watch is required.

I just hate it, I wish there was a way to put my huge collection of 20mm straps in and out of these. I just wish this was standardized instead of brands making custom swap systems (which are pointlessly expensive and proprietary).

Is the lug width 20mm? do you think if i filled in the hole, I could make it work?

You can use them? Its just the spring bar that is different they havent re invented the strap. Mine has a 21mm lug width but you can get away with 20mm straps. As long as they arent ones with built in qr spring bars
