sorry who are?
hey bp sd experts, i need a bit of help, first time posting on here but i have been lurking for years!

a few years ago i got the bp sd 2836, now that a few years have passed and i'm a bit of a franken freak it's hard for me to accept why i did not get a 3135.. but anyways

i'm happy with it stock, but i managed to grab a used gen bezel/insert for EUR 300 (good deal? maybe, best i could find?) and to go with it i ordered a gen clickspring (eur 30, pretty silly for a piece of bent metal, but thought i would go with it).

from the pages of reading fitting a gen insert to bp bezel would require it to be sanded. in my case of a gen bezel, insert, clickspring, this would be possible to fit as plug and play?

Does anyone know where I can get a Comex 16600 dial for this? I'm planning on getting the 'Polipetto' dial version of the BPSD and also want another cool dial to swap when I feel like it. I've checked Rubys but they don't have a 16600 dial.

If you are interested in having one custom made, I had mine from a reputable dial maker from hf

This is a 1665 dial right? How much did it cost and where can I contact this HF? I'm fine with either a 16660 or a 16600 dial if those are possible.

hey guys,

DG2813 in my BPSD is making some real rotor noise and also the low vph & reverse winding annoys me a bit so I thought about upgrading to VR3135 which I had in a ZZF Sub I had and was very satisfied..

I asked some TDs but they said they are not sourcing movements at the moment so where do you guys source this? other than buying a donor watch :)

Also, is VR3135 plug and play with BPSD?

Thanks!

I mean, in terms of hands & dial fitting, will 2813 BPSD case be plug n play? I am not sure if DG2813's BPSD case will host a VR3135 nicely thats why I'm asking:/

It's a 1665 dssd comex dial, with date window removed and the depth inscription changed to 20000ft = 6000m, a dial which never existed in real life.

Try contacting Belkin12 at HF. He would give you some price for that. It would not be appropriate for me to tell it. He should have the drawings for the dial too

I ordered a gen insert and was bummed that it didn't fit the bp bezel assembly.

Something just doesn't sit right with me "sanding" away portions of a genuine 16600 bezel insert. There are only so many of them out there...

Is there a bezel assembly that will fit the BP that will accept the gen insert?

I'm not sure. I got it in the mail a couple weeks ago, then set it aside as I was highly discouraged from it not fitting... So I didn't dig into researching the solution as I normally would.
Would love to know the answer to this as well; however, if no-one chimes in, I will eventually find the answer.

I guess I'll need VR3135 hands but will the dial feet from 2813 fit 3135? D'uh , hard work.

No, the dial feet are in a different position. Also the stem heights are different so VR3135 won’t easily fit a 2813 case.
You could upgrade to a 2836, but that will require new hands and dial feet too.

Oh I see :/ I have a very skillful watchmaker friend, if a Vr3135 can be fitted he can possibly do it... do you know how it can be done or what is needed?

He would need to fabricate a custom movement ring and dial spacer, you would probably need custom long tube hands to compensate for the difference in stem heights - your watch maker friend would have to be VERY skillful and work for cheap to make it worthwhile. Probably cheaper/easier just to buy a 3135 case set.

Ahh I see. Thanks for the extremely valuable info... before going for a new set, can other movements like A2836 fit more easy? I guess you mentioned it above but I’m not sure if in terms of fitting possibility or just as a suggestion... thanks!!

Yes, an A2836 or Eta 2836 would be much easier to mount in the watch- same diameter, very close stem heights. You would just need a new set of eta hands and mount the dial with new feet on the back, or dial dots on the spacer; you’ll also need to transfer the date wheel overlay onto the new movement or get a 2836 date wheel in Rolex font in the correct position for your dial.
