Just bought my SD…first time from TD but it will be third BP I own since some years!

BP 16600
Already purchased a VR3135 movement for a smooth replacement but wondering next steps in addition to a gen insert.
Not sure whether the rest of the list I mentioned are worth enough (gen crystal? clasp? tube and crown? dial?)
Similar observation as me, although I have a bigger issue with the crown sitting flush against the case: this is a major tell for me, and it could affect the watch's water resistance. As the crown is sitting flush on the case, a Triplock seal is not created well.
I previously installed a tube onto my BP 16600 which I thought was gen but it turned out it wasn't.
Therefore, I obtained a gen-spec swiss 7030 tube to fix the problem where the crown was sitting flush on the case. I removed the existing tube from the case, then I took a drill and drilled the tube hole to create a recess for the gen-spec swiss 7030 tube. Once the drilling was done, I installed the new tube with some threadlocker, lubricated all the gaskets, and reinstalled the gaskets. Now my gen crown doesn't screw all the way flush with the case.
(Health and safety: never wear slippers when drill and razor blades are present)
Which movement your watch has originally? SH or SA?
I hate to ask a newbie question, but for the versions of the BP you can still find, is there a preferable movement? Trustytime is the only place I see with any listings for the 16600, and it looks like depending on the dial I have a choice between 2836, 2813, or 3135. Not planning on modding it, just gifting it to someone who likely will wear it till it dies
