Thanks for the tips! How is the qualitu of the band.
As I posted in General...

Quote from Daywatch "My BP Seadweller bracelet on the right, like it as much as the TC one, only difference I see when inspecting them is that on TC the link connection is more professional; swapped the TC over to try out but than swapped it back to the original BP bracelet after wearing some time on a NATO. Crown looks smoother edged but could be the picture."

Just get it already, :punk:

I'm pretty well convinced that the original SSD and the BP have the exact same bracelet, one of the best available at the time. Which by the way, I always thought was pretty awesome for a rep. With that said, I have no idea about the quality of the TC bracelet.

I had a problem w the clasp on the BP. Sead actually sent me a new clasp and had the same issue of not staying closed correctly. The TC was a huge upgrade, and feels solid as the NOS gen I've had.

Ok guys I need your advice, I just sent my "BPSD" to Katt with parts for modding. He tells me none of my parts will fit the case. I am at a loss, I got the watch for Sora at Shinewatch, was suppose to be BPSD with refurb swiss movement. Katt tells me it is a 2836 clone in it. I sent a TC2824, TC hands, TC bracelet. Gen 704 crown, clark tube, TC V4 DWO that came off my 2014TCLV, Katt says it looks like a gen DWO and won't fit ETA movement. I also sent gen 16600 insert and clark click spring for bezel. Can I have the case worked to accept these parts. Who is able to do this work. Please advice . Thanks

The TC dial will fit that case but the diameter will need to be shaved.
Im not sure how to get the 2824 to work but youll be better off with a gen 2836 IMO
The rest of the parts should fit OK

and Thrasher, is there anyway you could get a measurement on the thickness of the dial spacer that originally came with your 2824........for future ref ?

Is it 2 different BP cases, one for the 2824 and one for the 2836?

No if im not mistaken they use a dial spacer on the 2824 to correct the stem height difference to the 2836 specs.

So I guess my options are get a ETA 2836 or a TC case. Is the BP case that much better then the TC for the SD?

TC does not make a SD case

Youve got the best there is ( next to gen)

Raddave is right, the dial would have to be reduced to fit flush to the rehaut, TC's SD dial is bigger than the stock BP, off memory is about 0.4 MM bigger.

I think I've already posted on this subject earlier in this thread with pictures. The BP SD is made for a 2836-2 for some reason they've started fitting 2824-2 which as we know has a different stem height from the dial. To pull the stem height of the 2824 to where it should be, a thicker plastic dial spacer is fitted and off memory longer tubed hands to allow the dial to sit further away from the movement.

this in turn gives you another problem, that being the DWO. If the DWO sits on the original date wheel of the movement it's too far back from the date window, it looks naff. So a further spacer is added between the existing date wheel and the
DWO to shift it forward towards the date window.

Top and bottom of this is I wouldn't be happy with a 2824 in this case, there's just too much jiggery poker for it to have any longevity.

Thanks Adrian. ...I tried to go back and find a post on this last night but it was late and too many pages. Which tube is direct fit...He says Clark sit to high, will WSO or TC go direct fit for gen Crown? Adrien I was going to contact you about your gen crystal mod, are you still doing them?

Where would I source, or which modder would be able to install a negative DWO. I really like that look even if it is fantasy.

Climbing back into Rolex once more.

What shall we have? An '82 Margaux! Is it any good? Good....?, It will make you believe in God!

Hey guys, the BP "superlume" 16600 has solid mid links right? I thought all Sea-Dwellers had solid mid links, but someone on a gen forum was talking about hollow mid links on a 16600, so now I've just confused myself.

Ordered one from Ryan, so I just wanted to know what to expect when it gets here.

Thank you, that's what I figured. Some guy on TRF said this model was hollow. That's what I get for searching through a gen forum for information haha! I've always found it funny that there's better/more information here, than on the gen forums

Pretty stoked though, I love vintage Rolex, but can't stand hollow SEL or mid links, so the SD is perfect

Maybe an older version but I would imagine that would have a different model number, Also some of the older models have hollow end links, an end link is the part of the bracelet that attaches to the watch at 6 and 12. So when people talk about SEL fit they are talking about how the solid end links fit to the case lugs, the tighter the fit the better. You will learn just keep reading and don't be afraid to look at the Panerai that and the Rolex section is probably the most developed with lots of genuine looking watches and modders.
