My BP has a 2836 and I've only had it a few months. I thought the crown position on the 2824 was meant to be slightly off?

Did you look inside just because your TD said it was a 2836 means nothing for months now BP has been spewing forth the 2824.

Actually the 2836 and 2824 will look to be the same because they use funky spacers and long hand tubes to make it look right....but its shitty for modding

But if you replace it with gen ETA 2836 should be easy to mod am I right?

I would build a BP Sea Dweller using a BP case, NEW Swiss ETA movement from Otto frei, Genuine insert, Genuine crown and WSO tube, TC hands and Dial, TC Bracelet, TC Date Wheel Overlay (DWO) V4, I would send the case to @ado213 in England and have him cut the case for a genuine specification crystal and have him install the crystal. https://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/sh...h-generic-Xtal, I would have @Tagfan1shape the case and install everything doing the final assembly.... But thats just me.

It seems every ten pages or so someone asks the same question so thats my cut and paste response and in fact what Tag is doing for me as soon as he gets done remodeling his house and the dust settles. Construction grade Dust inside a watch is bad apparently. unfortunately he and I both are stuck because he was using a Yuki 3135 and other fantastic materials which he cant assemble for himself due to said dust.

To be honest I'm going with what the TD has said. I have not opened it up to look and admittedly I wouldn't know off the top of my head the difference!

I've been in touch with Ado123 about modding the watch but haven't heard back for a few weeks. Any of you guys know if he's still about or has he stopped offering mod works? Just managed to get all the parts and now want to move forward with it! Gen xstal, gen insert, gen crown and octopus dial!
