Why stick it out if you ain't being taken care of. Don't get this sometimes. Things like this is the 'acid test' between the dealer and the valued customer. Buy the dealer, not the watch.

I wonder if future batches will be any better. I really want one but it sounds like the current batch is terrible. I've been keeping an eye on the m2m sales section but haven't seen any for sale lately.

well guys i worked up the balls to swap the dial and hands myself clearly ignoring the posts about the dial being a bit too big for the case, i went on any way... finished up hte install of the bloody second hand what a bitch, go to put movment and all back into bp case and no dice.... now to undo what was done cant take measurements because my caliper is packed. ive got a scotch bright sanding block but it might ned more than jsut a light sanding

now to go through the bp dial re install process so i can atleast wear it with the tc hands and bp dial for the weekend

That, it only take a few minutes to sand the dial edge. I used a metal file but pretty sure you could use a nail file if needed.

I hope it goes without saying though, take the dial off the movement to sand it. You do not want the metal partials from the edge of the dial anywhere near your movement.

It's worth the effort to reset the hands.

Hi fellas, I've done a few of these over the last year or so. TC's dial would not fit the earlier ones I did (too big) all recent ones it has fitted straight in. I'm wondering if those that have bought recently are getting the tail end production models of the first batch made by BP ??

I made one for Robomatic very early on in production models, with a loose bezel ring, managed to get round this by fitting a stiffer click

I have Gregg325i's here with me at the moment, waiting for a new bezel ring, the one supplied with his watch is just so loose it's unbelievable, look out for this QC issue if your getting one, it can be costly.

it just seems strange that we seem to have gone full circle with this case set !!

I've noticed this too on the last few I've done. don't know if its the case or the dial cause I haven't bothered to measure. just thankful I don't have to file another dial.

BUMMER-DRAG !

Well i did my dial swap this weekend and i found out ill need to shave my dial too :(

I had dropped the dial in the case before i installed it on the movement and it seemed like it fit OK so I went ahead and installed the movment and hands. Then i had a hard time getting the movement ring to seat, when i finally did the watch stopped.
Loosened the movement clamps, and it started running again.

So i pulled the movement again and dropped the BP dial in the case and discovered there is a recess that the dial fits in. The TC dial sits up on top of this recess.

Was thinking of shaving the movement ring at first, but that wouldnt help the stem alignment.

So i guess im gonna have to shave the dial , but thats gonna have to wait till next weekend.

To top it all off, that last time i pulled the movement, i blew the !#$%&%$#! keyless, so ill have to do that too :(

Gotta love this hobby !

EDIT:
Got the keyless fixed
Got the dial shaved

Gonna have to wait till next weekend to give her another try !
