That doesn't sound so good. After reading these threads I had convinced myself that a bpsd would be my next purchase but it sounds like they have gone downhill again!

Just received a BPSD yesterday. Still has the incorrect color hand lume. Markers are still crooked.

The bezel is much softer, the teeth are not cut crisp like the other BPSD's from 6-12 months ago.

The crown and tube is much smoother to operate. While this is a great improvement, I think the crown may be brass and plated. I will look at it further and let you know.

The bracelet is good, and seems improved. The clasp seems improved, especially the coronet which is crisply stamped. SEL fitment is great. I do not see the need for TC bracelet.

Refurbished older Swiss ETA inside. 2834-2, which is identical to a 2836-2, except for having a day wheel added. This one has been running for a day and keeping very good time.

From which TD did you order from? The one I received a week ago do no have these issues.

I fully agree about the soft bezel, it's the weakest part of this great watch imho.
Mine is so soft that it's actually difficult to operate.
I'm still looking for a replacement, but that's no easy task.

The TD's don't keep stock, so it just happens to be what I got. It's BP factory, there is no rhyme or reason with them...

Bingo. The other two I've had were the exact opposite, nice crisp bezel cuts. Someone is getting too excited with the polishing wheel or something...

Anyone have a bezel? Anyone know of any aftermarket bezels that fit?

Hello.

How does the below compare to the new DSSD noob 2014 ?

Tc dial
Tc hands
Tc tube
Tc bracelet comes with 2mm gen spec spring bars

Big differences?

I will be receiving my Noob dssd 2014 BK in a couple of days, just want to know what else need to be done to make it even better?

Thanks
Yann

Allright, as my original BP bracelet is not working very well (clasp pops open all the time) I have placed an order for the following parts from TC:

1 x TC 93160A

1 x TC 16600 hands set

1 x TC crown&tube set

Will need to find a modder in EU who will install these together with a gen pearl for me :)

Curious as to anyones case back lettering fading away? I've worn my BP SD everyday for about nearly a year, and much of the lettering has faded off.

I know gen's fade, but not this quickly I imagine.

Black lettering doesn't last at all. You might as well forget about it. I repainted mine once and then gave up on it.

I sold my BPSD build. I missed it and bought a new BPSD. Going with TC dial and hands. Looking for your thoughts and opinions on the new watch. Mainly, the CG's and bezel. i'll reserve comment until I hear yours.

Well, thanks Rudy.

Was hoping to get more eyes on this before I went to work on it. Or didn't. I think the CG's look a little fat, but nice and long.

I suppose i'll update after I do whatever it is I decide to do. :p4gtr:

Yes a little fat!,,,,Time to put them on a diet!
And if your going to fit a gen crown and tube! I would go ahead and have that around when I shaved the CG's that way you can check how your crown is going to seat back in there? And how it's going to look?

I'm not going all out, TC dial hands done. Wish I could trim the CG's without having to pull the tube. And the bezel sucks. Damn it.

Just noticed an issue with my bpsd :( When the dial is faced down, the watch will stop ticking. Everything normal when faced up. Anybody know how to fix this? Btw, it is an a2836.

Sounds like the balance wheel is broke.
