Agree but I don't see that happening unfortunately :/

Yep, me either, sadly. The worst thing is that there isn't a decent quality 16710 case+bezel that one could use to transplant one of these new cloned CHS movements in.

...so BP DG2813 CHS it is!

As I promised my watch just arrived besides the weight and the noise of the rotor it looks amazing

Honestly, this watch is amazing. The dial and date font are spot on, much better than an ARF for example.

The insert is much better than the new VRFs

(And it costs 200 bucks cheaper than either ARF or VRF).

Also, BP makes some of the most solid "gold" watches in the industry.

The only real questions is whether to play it safe with the ICHS, or gamble with the new improved CHS movements that haven't been really vetted yet.

If you want the new 3186 clone stable (supposedly CHS) then it hasn't been released yet in root beer, whether TT of full gold

Thank you ;-)

I was looking for the CHS to have the version with the right thickness of 12.1 mm. ICHS is 13 mm thick like the Sub. right?

I don't know man sorry. But for me the benefit of CHS, as the name indicates is to have the correct hand stack ;)

Thanks a lot ;-)

do you know the thickness of this?

The 16710 IS thick. Check back in this thread and you'll see some photos. It's even more than 13mm but it's just because of the caseback. You can try swap the caseback with any other regular Submariner or GMT homage/replica and should be fine. Or you can look into the 6-digit versions which seem to be normal in terms of thickness.

How is the DG3804/2813 compared to a 2836, in terms in size and stem height?

I would love to make a Vietnam based 16750 franken!

They are the same diameter and can use the same movement holder. Well, that is to say the DG3804 can use an ETA holder. A lot of DGs come with the plastic holders, I get rid of those.

Stem heights

DG2813 / DG3804 - 2.5mm
2836 ICHS - 2.25mm
2824 CHS - 1.8mm

The 2824 CHS uses an extra thick dial spacer and an elevated DW tooth ring to enable it to be used in a 2836 case, which is what is used.

I have fitted all 3 movements into a 2836 case, the DG3804 uses a thinner dial spacer than the 2836 which helps offset the stem height difference.

See this post for more detailed measurements

https://forum.replica-watch.info/fo...swap-your-chs-movement-to-ichs-is-it-possible

I have not yet tried fitting a 2836 to a DG case, but I don't see why it wouldn't fit. When combined with the thicker 2836 dial spacer the stem height difference is negated.
