The stick dial in Genuine is typically called an error dial and has a 3186 and M serial number. I think it would be cool to find a BP stick dial

The only problem is that BP sticks dials also always have the frogfoot coronet.

Incidentally, sticks dials can also be found on some 116710 LN's.

You should read my review bro, those questions are answered. It's generally accepted that Chinese "Swiss ETAs" are not advisable purchases. There are times when that's the only way a model is offered.

I ended up reaching out to Nembo. He's able to source the watch, great guy.

Ordered a BP 16710 Pepsi from Andrew. Some observations from the QC:
- Chamfers on the lugs are too pronounced. I have yet to find a gen with such curves.
- Wrong crown: two dots under the coronet instead of a solid bar. I believe two dots denotes twin lock crown on white gold models, not SS :atwitsend:.
- DW not centered, more left aligned.
- The "II"'s next to "GMT-MASTER" are no longer sticks in this new batch.
- Let's wait and see if there is LEC, since BP seems to use whatever spare parts they have left to "fraken" these watches. If this one does, then LEC + no lug holes + SEL would somewhat make this period-correct, despite the obnoxiously curvy case
- I am not sure whether this particular watch is A2836 or DG3804. The photos on trusty time (https://trustytime.io/index.php?main...ducts_id=20381) shows an ETA movement, but I would not trust 100%. Anyway, either one is fine by me.

I already accepted the QC, as at the end of the day, I can live with the above. Posting here for your reference. Feel free to correct me if there is any misinformation.

Just received my QC.

Same issues as you.

Am I wrong or did BP widen their CGs?

That case is like a lovechild of a Seamaster and a 6-digit Submariner. Strange.

Can you post a better pic of the handstack? If the hour hand is on the bottom, it's a DG3804 CHS, a finicky movement that I wouldn't have.

The CGs look bad on that sample, they are not only wider on the top but encroach on the crown in an unattractive way. I hope this isn't the shape of things to come from BP or their run on the only acceptable and affordable 16710 is over.

Hi

Movement should be A2836 as ordered with ICHS.
Here's another angle of the case/ CGs.

I rejected the QC...

I ordered a thinner caseback from Ken, he has got some of them back in stock now.

What did you reject it for? It may be that the CGs are from a new batch of cases. They are a good bit fatter, which is good as that's more like the gen but they are really asymmetric top-to-bottom now. The tops covering the crown a bit is a real eyesore to me, I've hacked that off on some cases. But at least you have more material to work with now.
