You gotta love marketing. I'm going to the smallest room now and contribute to the "biosourced" materials industry...
Weirdly enough the transparent case back is saphire…So plastic with some kind of anti-scratch coating on it which probably won't survive more than one or two bumps. Thank you for finding a good picture of the luminescence. If nothing else I can say I do like it. Just wish I had more confidence in the durability of the encasement.

Blancpain need this shot in the arm marketing. Their CEO seemed more than happy to discuss the collab almost to the point of tripping over himself to chat about it. They are a struggling brand with no modern day street cred or buyer aspiration. This has as much to do with blancpain gaining back some spotlight as much as it has to do with swatch gouging the market again with another gimmick. It’s a WIN / WIN for both.Maybe next will be a quartz ploprof made from recycled PET bottles.
It's time for a mutiny. I'll start working on my own 50 Fathoms. We don't need these clueless marketing parasites who can only "reinterpret" what real creative pioneers did 70 years ago. Swatch is only diluting the Blancpain brand here. They should concentrate on creating their own legend. C'mon Swatch don't you have the resources to create something really innovative. Like you own range of affordable divers...
Blancpain has a typecasting issue. I challenge anyone to remember the name of another line of watches from Blancpain besides the 50 fathoms.
I often read this Blancpain - Invicta comparison..... You're not doing a good job of selling it to me. Might as well have Invicta engraved on the side.
