I’d like to see the case profile of btf vs cf as cf seems to be less rounded (and less gen like) than btf

Now I need to get the CF V3 black dial. I have the BT V2 and didn't mind the subdials until I read this thread lol. I may just get a CF stainless bezel and turn my 116500 into a 116520 .

I will order a CF V3 after I see some QCs and just swap the movement into a BT case since I think the case and crystal are better than CF currently.

I have a Noob made two weeks before the raid, and it is not like the one in picture. Yes it has squared markers compared to clean and BTF but the subdials are not shiny like that even in direct light, they have deeper and nice cuts (not as pronunced as clean and gen), the rolex logo on the dial looks well polished, and the caseback looks like clean or gen. Maybe the one in picture is a v3? Thanks for the review Steve, it takes a lot of effort doing these comparisons.

I have never seen a 116500 LN dial in person before but I looked at my BT V2 again tonight and I don't think the sundials are that shiny.

Very very veery nice sample bro, this case and sels fitment looks crazy genlike but the subdials are shiny , they are looking different than gen… but having this case with this sel fitment is a crazy luck so you can easily change dial one day if you want to

Gotcha.

It may be on here somewhere but do any members have a gen and BT 116500 LN that is willing to post some side-by-side pics in different lighting conditions to showcase the subdials?

Preferably both watches in the same picture.

@TheSilentSinger Yes this one is off ever so slightly but If I rotate it to the right, the "120" will be too far off for me. I've adjusted it several times and I can live with it like this. FWIW, I have another BT and the bezel is spot on. I just chuck this one up to batch inconsistencies.

I see what you mean about the "120" as it is pretty spot on right now.
That's a shame since after reading the review, I was sure BTF would be the right one and was thinking of pulling the trigger on a BTF Black Daytona. After doing more research, it seems the bezel misalignment on the BTF can be pretty common. That would bug me to no end and it would be deal breaker.
I suppose the other option is to go with the updated CF version and drop a gen xtral on it.

@TheSilentSinger Depending on the viewing angle the alignment can look better or worse. You can sort of see this by looking between the first two pictures I posted. BF still, IMO, wins for its case, crystal, and SELs.

@ombre Yes, I see what you mean, BTF does have more to offer.
Backtrack to what I said about adding a gen xtral to CF . It just adds another cost to it and that may not be an option to most people.
I suppose the best option is to be really OCD during the QC photo process with the TD.

Also very nice bro. Not that much off.
95% like gen subdials.

In my opinion and experience, as stated earlier in this thread, the subdials on gen also shine in certain angles.

And I think both of your watches are awesomely close.
