Ok thanks for the pic, but why swap the entire case then?

This is nothing special...you just need a dremel and a bit of sand papers/polish

Your kidding right!

The flaw is not fixable with a dremel because the shallow curvature towards the cg tip surrounding the crown is too thin on the zzf and only adding material will make this better and that is a different level of modding.

No I wasn't, I've just done that mod on a viet case for a 5514 project, yes here looks unfixable the loss of material near the bezel profile..but at least the curvature could be way better (more curved like gen).

Also this loss of material is a bit exaggerated on this pic by the slightly different angle of the ZZF respect the camera.

Hate the words ‘instant tell’ they are only tells for those who know, I wouldn’t say instant either, easy to see with gen next to I a rep in static pic where you’re able to zoom. When I had my ARF I sat at my friends with his gen with both in my hands, and one on top of other etc it’s actually pretty difficult to see difference in case in person, even when you know. Maybe it’s the way the light reflects and moves and the watch moves in your hands, much easier in a pic

Yes, maybe is just light playing tricks ahaha but that insert seems darker and deeper. I think we don t have enough gen vs rep pics to claim that this watch is way off.

Agree, maybe it is V2 users that compares it with gen.. we don't know for sure.. looks like it imo. V2S/V3 should be alot better for the $$ more

I was talking about the istant tell when you have it in hand, not on the wrist.. imho even the experts can t see any difference when its on the wrist if at the end the colors are not that bad and you put on a gen xtal.. no one can spot it

Looks cracked.. some watch smiths only know how to press a crystal by putting the whole bezel assembly under the press. This is because they never worked on real Rolex construction or don’t have the Rolex tools (most dive watch and cheap reps crystals use a very thin crystal gasket where the crystal presses in from above). But then again pressure enough to crack the crystal would have cracked the whole insert so I wonder how this happened

He wants to by a new „stone“ (he used the word stone not pearl) for 3-4€ lol. I don’t think that this 3-4€ stone will have same color and same blue lume at night

Sadly no smear. Tried with a microfibre cloth to clean it but didn’t change

I took some pics yesterday but didn’t recognize it
