Gen in left hand rep in right hand yeah definitely will see the difference for sure unless you have bad eyes.but it's not something that is calloutable as people say.without having a gen in the vicinity the zzf is great

Not true

Color in the is always the same all over the years of production of the model. Never changed.

There is not 3, but 4 “versions” (mark 0, mark 1, mark 2, mark 3) of the gen hulk.


(Understand for “version”: minimal changes that usually people doesn’t care/see like -spacing between = 300 m and the position of the X about the D (of date) less than a milimeter, or a slightly elongated “F”- but under a macro you call them a “tell”)

IMO this ZZF looks so nice, it gets the darker tones of the gen. Under heavy light the rep always is going to show a “cheaper finished sunburst” not proper of a 8000€ watch.

This is the most striking point to me (the darker tones) , with no light (ie at night) and at a distance of 3-4 meters 90% the hulk seems black or extremely dark . Some gen owners around here probably can relate about this.

I stated that colour didn’t changed over the years, while the text has changed, according to me is 4 ( I count mark 0 as the prototype showed in BW 2010)

smoke made a dial guide where he differentiated 6 different dials. I will take a look this afternoon.

Color never changed in the 10 years of production. That’s clear.

Nobody cares about those subtle differences, I mean doesn’t made it more collectible/desirable over other badges/ serials/years of production.

Is not like a thin hands or a pana daytona or a Y or F Kermitt ( and keep in mind that those features ain’t valuable/collectible for a lot of collectors=same price)

Hi guys, need your help.. i have ordered this watch basically for the perfect dial, insert and sels.. but after reading the last pages i was hoping at least in good sels. Here is my qc..
the sels seems not good, the recession is not uniform (i ve seen on this thread a lot of beautiful recessed sels from the case till the end)
Thers is also that gap that i have circled in red. Also the lugs are not good (look also when the lugs meet the first bracelet link) What do you think? I am exaggerating or this is enough to reject it?

Thin the best thing is not a side by side, but mount the camera in fixed position then place the rep and gen insert in a set position one at a time

There is no open questions. The pictures that have been used to promote this watch speaks clearly and in my qc the lugs and the sels are not like they should be. The noob question is if that is an acceptable error (maybe it happens also with gens, maybe is not that bad) ..and i dont know if this details are enough to reject a watch from a TD
