I get that. But there should be also viable options for those folks who something decent out of the box. For me that was and still is the BP 16610LN.

I understand the frustration. “Good” 5 digit reps haven’t been available for many many years before recently.

ARF > BP for many reasons. If you have things that bother you, swap out for gen.

Hey,

a friend of mine just told me that inTime just listed the ARF 16610LN and 16610LV with and without rehaut engraving as "new releases".

The movement listed is the SH3135 - but I think it could even be a VR3135 from the pictures?

I'm not sure what else was updated. But to me it looks better than RAF and like an update from the old ARF batch.

What do you think?

Don’t forget it’s CNY, nothing getting shipped for 2 weeks.

They have non engraved on tap. I’ve ordered close to a dozen of them.

Little update from my post earlier..

Stripped the original ARF crown while setting time because it was simply junk straight from the factory, and wasn’t screwing down right in the first place. Threw a gen 703 crown on, which also solved the crown gap issue. Also did the DIY 6:00 marker fix, and honestly I’m pretty happy with it. Been my daily watch since.

If Budget, BP, if not, ARF/RAF modded, Kermit BP has a few flaws, BP is also not gen spec, scroll 4 pages back i discussed it all briefly, all 3 have flaws, BP is the cheapest so if you don't know if you like 5 digit just try it out.

If you can't spot anything wrong between the 3 pictures then get the BP.

Here's QC of all 3. RAF looks the best overall out of the three.... but has marker and scallop weakness. But I can tolerate all of those things....

I have a couple of Gens. Trying to get the best rep I can of my Kermit so I can leave it in its box a bit more. The rep world looks fun and I’m enjoying the research. If the RAF looks good compared to my gen Kermit, I’ll look at getting other Reps.
The RAF on Trustytime’s website looks really good. Datewheel is the only thing that really stands out to me. The rest of it looks pretty bloody close for the money. Just hearing that maybe quality of delivered product isn’t as good as the website images at the moment. Funny coloured hands/dial markers etc.

nice gen Kermit there! I think you’re on the right track with ARF. since you have the real deal the BP will seem mediocre. differences will be night and day. Especially the case.

The BP insert has a smaller diameter than the ARF one. It will not fit

OK so seriously looking for a kermit, so is RAF the way to go? I'm not into modding at the mo so best OOTB would be my choice? Any suggestions welcome? I may possibly revert to a black bezel if the green doesn't fit so would possibly need to mod it down the track?

do you have the version with engraved rehaut? if I remember correctly ARF makes two versions, the one without rehaut should have the B3 insert
