Here's QC of all 3.

RAF looks the best overall out of the three.... but has marker and scallop weakness. But I can tolerate all of those things....

Sorry, isn’t the first one with date 26 from BP?

Yessir. I'm showing all 3 models of the LV avaliable for evaluation. The 26 date is BP, can be told easily due to the maxi hands (I like to call them comic sans hands

in order of images : BP, ARF, RAF

Gotcha. I know some say BP for the price, but case and bezel is wrong, and bezel action, bracelet, clasp all flimsy.

TC was good in its day, but steel is 316 and ETA has wrong time set direction.

We’ve since have excellent JF (yes 316) with 3135; AR and RAF in 904 with 3135..

I think the BP LN is tolerable for the price, alongside their gold and two tone models but the LV is terrible lol

Your ARF is good, hands not mismatched, I'm guessing it's the "old" ARF not "new" ARF

The ARF is pre-raid (the original ARF).

But I believe ARF updated the hands to match in the latest batches. Ask for a QC lume pic 😉

Looks like it glows blue. Would you agree. My dial markers glow green under UV. Appreciate that pic!

I’m not sure if it’s the glow or the fact that UV is purple a green lume which sort of becomes blue-ish.

Lume matches but color of lume is still very obvious. Hands too white, dial is green. The QC picture of ARF I pulled is from 10 days ago. I think in white / sunlight / office light it is super obvious.

I've been looking at the kermit between BP and ARF but both have major flaws I can't overlook.

BP
- ft font is wrong
- hand set is wrong, maxi hand set
- case chamfer a bit enthusiastic

ARF
- hand lume is BRIGHT white, like crazy white, I can overlook everything else but I can't overlook this

With that said, is there no compromise between the two? I see here people have been trying to swap out AliX handsets but I've looked and I can't see it. The only option is a relume job by a modder which is kind of out of my books right now (Asia has no reluming service like that, and they won't do it for replicas).

The last resort I see is getting someone to sell me their TC.....

I heard JF is also a good option and their handset is ok but JF is long gone....

Will somebody help a poor Kermit lover out here?
The BP ft is correct for a factory service dial.

I was using the flashlight on my others last night. I noticed that my gen parts glow blueish under UV despite being a green lume.

Also, the Alibaba hands glow blue just like gen. My 14060 dial glows green under UV but then matches green with the hands as they glow and fade.

I am in the market for a 16610LN… but of course „period correctness“ is a big one - no doubt. As the ARF No Rehaut model should mimic a ~2005 black bezel Submariner, I was wondering what‘s up with the shape of the 2 in the 20 on the bezel… I think I haven’t seen this on any Submariner (but might miss something)

here a picture from the jtime website:

Talking about modding: Given that I m not a watchmaker, I would be looking for a good out-of-the-box compromise. Obvious/visible flaws count higher than … let’s say the color or a gear wheel ;-) Having that said, I would be willing to replace a bezel if there is a drop-in replacement available. What I would probably not do, is filing the edges etc.

Interesting what you say about the BP model. Any TD that has those on offer at the moment?
Wow, talk about anal, and I thought I was bad. Yes, my OCD is pretty bad with not being able to "unsee" things, and them get on my nerves afterwards, but as someone mentioned somewhere... "These are reps that cost a fraction of the real thing, made in low wage, unclean factories. These aren't hermetically sealed Swiss labs. Don't expect them to be anywhere near perfect." That "20" takes the cake on what I've seen get a red light in my extremely short time with reps. Also, that could easily be fixed by anyone with good watch skills and attention to detail.
