It was not sarcastic check the other pics. Some has the 30 flaw (the new batches) the older ones have not.

check this:

See the 0 is a little under the "3"? Yeah that is the flaw its tiny but people with good eyes (like me) see it. Seems like the "new" batch has that issue. Great rep anyway.

Edit: Where are the other 2 comments?

V2... on my skinny wrist!

I know the bezel is a bit too sharp... maybe I’ll work up the courage to pop it off and shave a bit off the outside on my lathe.... but man, I’m not an expert by any means but this piece is solid solid solid!

I paid $20 more for v2... dunno really what updates were included but I love this watch!

google sea dweller 43 clasp

seems the coronet on the latest version arf is not so accurate compared to gen yes. a surpise considering the overal quality of this watch. On the shots from puretime though it looks very good .

Received my ARF SD43 a few days ago after a month of delays related to a complicated long order I had made.
Movement impressively strong and accurate at Amp 295, +/- 1 sec/d.
I have the new DWO, the new rotor, and what appears to be a correct cyclops magnification.
Probably the most impressive rep I have ever put under my 10X loupe.

slaughterer62 coming from you that is indeed high praise. You don’t impress easily. ARF has pushed the rep bar much higher in quality and accuracy. And this was the first version.

Even more impressive IMO are the things we don’t see...like the deep lug engravings and gen-tight case back are details other makers don’t prioritize. Even the ceramic insert is pressure fit like gen, not glued.

Yes, and the ARF SD43 dial has Rolex embossing on the back, LOL...

And the DW overlay is done very precisely...

Although the A2824 that ARF used in my example was very strong and accurate (AMP 295, +1sec/d), I swapped it out for a Swiss 2824. The reason I did this was only because I wanted a smoother manual wind, that is it. The ARF movement is very clean, but a little dry.

Good like it is. I have absolutely no problem with the coronet on the clasp.

Im thinking of buying this beautiful watch.
Can anyone please tell me what flaws I should watch out in QC pics?
Looking through 113 pages seems overkill and a lot easier if someone could help me out instead:)

Mine is is getting harder and harder to manually wind. When I first got it, it would wind perfectly. Now, after unscrewing the crown, I have to slightly pull it out to the point here it’s almost in the date change setting. If I don’t, the crown will spin and no winding. When I can get it to wind, There is a lot of resistance and I can hear the rotor whirling around with each spin of the crown.... clearly something is not right :(. The saving grace is that it has been keeping perfect time.

Are you going to hang on to the A2824 or would you possibly sell it? Perhaps an eta 2824 is the way to go though...

I’ll ask you the same question, buddy, which one is rep, modded or gen here?

looks like the center one is rep

I dont know now if ARF changed the coronet on the crown or if it is just a bad batch because in some pictures (like the puretime website) the coronet looks very good but on other sites (intime, toros) it looks nothing like the gen.

Can someone shed some light on this please.

Correct, ARF SD43 V2, got it 2 weeks ago; absolutely not an instant tell ;)

Nice! Looks great. Noob LN and LV or did you mention one was gen? How does it stack up quality wise compared to those subs?

Those subs are both gen, so you can see by yourself the level of the ARF quality. The “biggest” tell for me is the cyclop (not raised and not so black hole as per gen) hence why I removed it.
The only mod I’d do is the lume on hands & indices, they’re too ‘white’ compared to the almost beige one on gen

how about the coronet on the ARF clasp, looks very out of place on this watch because the rest is spot on.
