Look careful at the teeth of the gen. The scoops from the bezel are less deep and leave more space between the scoops and the bezel inner ring (the black part with the numbers). Also the flat non- scooped part on the bezel outer ring between two scoops is also little bit longer in the gen bezel. You could say the teeth on the gen have a little more body. It would just take some small adjustment of the CNC machines to get it right, they simply need to make a slightly shallow cut/scoop from the bezel. I agree that this is a very nice out of the box gen, but just one further update, fixing this part would put it on top of my orderlist.

Haha, give arf som cred now :) its really awesome out of the box. Do I have to remind you... its a rep:p

Yeah, I also like it very much, I'm simply joking. But, because I didn't pull the trigger on this yet, if some improvements are coming I prefer to wait or to find what needs to be addressed soon :)
The thing that give me more thoughts is the dimensions: to my wrist the 16610 is simply perfect in size and tickness, I don't know this one how could be :)

I received mine in January and couldn't be happier. The best rep I've owned. Since I set the time it hasn't lost one sec. When my alarm goes off in the morning I put my SD43 on and its the exact same time it was the previous day. V1 of course.

I love mine still. Its the best Rolex rep we have probably ever had in terms of no mods direct from the factory. I'm thinking about sending it for an Swiss ETA replacement and DW change to a Noob DW then it will be perfect.

But Noob uses a DWO or a DW on his 282x movements? I think always a DWO because the ETA DW has the number in wrong position ...

Its not a problem. Many modders already perform this mod and even though the ARF DW is not that bad I prefer the Noob and if I'm going to replace the movement might as well do the DW at the same time. Also will get the bezel tightened a little too.

Then its a keeper for a few years at least.

Bezel issue can be solved 100 percent. You can soften and deburr it like I described some pages before.
If you are unhappy with those bezel grooves which are machined a tiny tad too deep...take the bezel on a lathe and decrease the outer diameter 0.1-0.2mm. Et voila nobody ever can spot a 42.8mm diameter compared to 43.0mm. And your grooves aren’t too deep anymore.

I’m reading so much about this rep and its flaws. DW and bezel are no go and so on. I think you have to hold this watch in your hands before judging it. It’s really a high quality watch with very small tolerances in machining. In the real world you won’t be able finding a watch with this quality at that pricepoint. It dwarfs all Steinharts and others by length!

I really needed to go against my instincts to order the V2 SD43 last week. I intensely disliked wearing Rolex's last foray into the "big Diver" niche with the DSSD. Flipped it within a week. Hopefully this SD43 stays around longer.

I took some pics for comparison of the DW. IMO the only flaw is the overall print quality and the position of the digits. They are not always centered in a correct way. But font seems to be correct. Mine is a V1 with updated DW font. Gen is always the first pic:

S62 great to have you pop over the the Rollie section now and again . Like you I’ve had a bitter-sweet run with the DSSD. I know you’re AP to the core but the one rolex in your collection has to be an SD43. I think it wears close the AP Diver. For me it’s perfection!

hello, I have a doubt if it's V1 or V2, for me it's V1, what do you think ?
