Yes that’s still the first sample. He never updated the pics or video. Only first 2 pics have the updated hands

Do you have the fat 28 font on your datewheel?
I do.. I have had mine for a while.. but it is not as much an issue as people think, the updated batch thing is a bit of a mystery.. I think the 28 font is still being rolled out as well as the other

I feel like this is one from the old batch....There should be an updated version right?
No idea what the guy in the videos is saying other than AR Super SS etc.. Which should be the 126600 from ARF. If you look at the datewheel between 2:30 and 2:55 you can see a better (newer) font than the old version.

The rest of the QC pics are good but my datewheel seems to be bad quality and also the old version.

I've got my QC pics too - but the dial looks like it might be scratched! Or perhaps just a hair? What do you think? The 'R' and 'O' in 'Rolex' has the line between them. Also, does the Cyclops look strangely distorted?

Yeah that looks much cleaner than the QC pics of the date that I received haha. Told my TD the same, let's see if he agrees.

It might be the SD from VRF with to much Magnification?
These are Asian 28xx movements, so a Gen DW wouldn't fit. Only other option is a DWO from Raffles or similar.
But to put this into perspective $458 is a lot of money for something with a crap DW font, this is fairly basic, if the factory can't get such a simple thing sorted then we shouldn't buy it, its almost like the factory pushing all the old ones that were rejected while they build another batch. I'm disappointed as I've been watching this thread with interest hoping that they'd sort it out quickly so I could order one.

Yeah same here, saw posts and pictures of the new font and was convinced all sd43s from this batch would contain the new datewheel. Seems like they also send some old ones to the TDs to maybe try and get rid of the bad datewheels...
