These were supplied by my contact in China who got them sent from his guy in the factory . There was a hold up due to the fix on the DW but it looks to be sorted now .

I love that you have a contact and that he knows a guy... so cloak & dagger. I’m not going to lie, that’s pretty cool.

Then fucked up QC from rolex because normally there is no blue hue on the cyclops.

This is my gen DD40. Blue hue is clearly visible. People should really stop saying stuff when they have never owned or held a real rolex before.

The blue is not as evident as IWC and most the time it does look like there is no blue hue - in certain angles you can see it clearly and some angles its totally clear.

Dont think so I can capture certain levels of blue hue on ALL my gen Rolex's and if you go to the "show me your gen" thread on the first page you will see I have HEAPS of gen rolex's.

Like I said you can capture it at certain angles. I admit most of the time it looks like its totally clear.

The problem with new batches is there is a risk that the new batch will inherit something that is worse than the current batch. I would be very very happy with the current batch with updated DW on the "8". The other tiny issues is not a worry for me especially the bezel teeth honestly I cant see any difference and I think in the real world no one would be able to tell. In all these years wearing both gens and reps not a single person has come up to me and said anything about my watches.

Please post QC of the new batch whenever anyone gets them. I will do the same. I'm sure the mods wont care if its for discussion and not about QC.

Are you sure this isn’t the BP version? The bezel scallops are different and the bezel engraving doesn’t look nearly as good.

Hmmm looks like the BP version to me with those god awful deformed skinny style numbers on bezel lol
