You learned me! Thanks. I didn’t realize Noob uses version numbers as more of a design generation than version of each model. Makes sense, so we don’t see sub V10, SD v3, GMT v4, etc etc.

That’s how I always thought it was with noob. Each release increased the version # of that particular model. So as you mentioned, sea dweller v4, sub v10, Daytona v3. Et cetera.

Hi Guys ! Which ARF version do you think is it ? Thanks for the kind help. Cheers from France

Maybe it’s just my eyes playing tricks but that looks a pretty poor rep. The quality of the hands and markers doesn’t look good at all to my untrained eye.

Seems like consensus is still split between Noob and ARF...

If that’s an ARF then I think I’ll be sticking with my Noob v10 order.

Quality looks way off from the other examples we’ve seen in this thread.

I don’t know the version of that specific SD43 posted above, but I’m pretty sure consensus is ARF v3 > Noob v10.

ARF definitely makes a better clasp but imo, noob does a better job with the dial color, dial lettering/writing (especially the red. The red by leaps and bounds. Especially in person), indices (color, shape and spacing - especially the spacing of the 12 o’clock marker from the min markers), rehaut, insert, and datewheel.

My top visual clues as to whether it’s rep or gen are favored by noob so for me it’s a no brainer.

I’m struggling as I haven’t really seen a single write up for the Noob v10 just yet. Only seen a v9 review.

I honestly don’t know what version people are talking about for the latest Noob SD43. Some people say it’s v9, v10, some TDs show the latest Noob as v4. I think the TDs need to figure out version control/naming.

I would definitely choose ARF V3. I‘ve had many Noob watches in my hand. Submariner V7, V8 and V9. Also some Yachtmasters from Noob.
But comparing it to the ARF models I had they didn‘t have the gen-like feeling. ARF feels really Rolex-like. Noob always was more rattling, flimsy. Maybe a little bit too light weight.
Bezel engravings on the ARF V3 are very good. There was a thread comparing it next to a gen SD43 and there was almost no difference. You really need both watches in your hand to tell.

Thanks for the feedback. I was pretty dissapointed with the glide lock clasp on my V9 Sub, so I was already leaning towards the ARF for this factor alone.

Thanks. What details are reponsible for this feedback ?

Nothing. The ARF overall is a better rep than the Noob.
Noob dial and lume is slightly better, but the feel, fit and finish give it away as a rep straight off the bat.

There is no dust under the glass. There is dust in the room. The watch looks superb OMG!
ARF fixed the 12 o‘clock marker. Now it sits lower and has almost as rounded edges as the gen ... wow!
Only thing you would have to do to this watch is rotate the crystal a little bit as it is not 100% aligned with the date window. But this is really an easy fix.
I would have accepted. I don‘t think the next one will be much better as this one is almost flawless.
Good luck!

Lol anyone in their right mind would have GL’d that piece. The crystal should be replaced with gen anyways no matter what rep it is. Wish my last QC was as good as that one.

Here’s an interesting example... looks like the coronet @ 12 and entire left side of the rehaut are well- aligned. Right side of rehaut is way off. Are my eyes deceiving me?

is this worth a RL and retry or is this a V3 issue?

How long after payment does it normally take before you receive QC images from Puretime?

First time order - decided to go for the ARF v3 after reading this thread.

Depends if there are any delays, typically a few days, normally 5 days or so. As a side note, if you need help with your QC pictures, you can ask for help. However, you cannot ask for general feedback here. You have to ask specific questions, ie "does the bezel look wrong to you?"

The right side rehaut is a little off. Some are better than others, but they’re all off a little.
