The cyclops upper and lower horizontal edges are not parallel, they diverge. It makes the cyclops look like it's crooked but you can't fix it by rotating the crystal. Yours is not as bad as some others but they all seem to have it.

I just have to record the movement by turning it very little clockwise. so the rehaut will be perfectly centered just as the DW will be exactly parallel to the cyclops lens. Do you agree master?

I got my ARF delivered a couple of days ago and have an issue. I can't seem to change the date it's like it stuck. It doesn't matter how many times I make the the hour hand go round, either forwards or backwards. Even if I pull the crown out all the way the 3rd position and try to make the date flip forward it's doesn't change. What's even worse is that as I'm doing that, that hour hand sometimes doesn't move too. It keeps getting stuck on some numbers, it's like the gears are spinning or something, it looks like it wants to move but then keeps jumping back. When I do this, the GMT hand and the minute hand are both moving as normal.

The date doesn't even look like it's fully flipped, it's sitting quite high and only looks like it's gone maybe 90% of the way and there doesn't seem to be anything that I can do to move it.

I'm going to wear it all day today and see how well it keeps and if the date flips overnight

Any ideas or tips? KJ2020 m5smg2

Sounds like your jump click has already broken. It will need to be serviced, likely with some parts replaced by gen parts. It may be several hundred dollars but the movement would be greatly improved afterward. Alternately you could swap in a VR3185 and sell the SH3186 for spare parts.

It is a common problem for these CHS movement in the past. Avoid these CHS movement until they do a complete clone like Daytona 4130.

I was worried that might be the case. Do you think that there is any point speaking to my TD considering I've had the watch for 3 days? Although I don't want to have to send anything back to China as it'll be a nightmare.

I'm a little hesitant on buying any new parts until I know what the issue actually is. It might be easier to buy the VR3185, it'll be a lot cheaper as I can swap the movements my self any ideas where I can pick one up?

TDs will usually only offer a repair or replacement upon return of the watch, something I would never do. Some will offer a discount toward your next purchase if you can provide reasonable proof of an issue.

Ask member thrillofhunt for a VR3185, he usually has some and is trustworthy.

The new releases of VR3185 (VRF) SH3186 (ARF), and SA3186 (GMF) are true clones. They are not the same 2824 CHS timebombs of the past. The jump click is still a weak point (more so on the SH than the VR, SA is not out long enough to know), but they can be replaced by a gen part while the 2824 click cannot.

I'll reach out to them and see if there is anything that they can do about discount on my next purchase. I use PT and they are normally very good.

Thanks for letting me know about thrillofhunt I'll DM him and see if he's got any available. Just to check, it's a straight swap from SH3186 to VR3185 right. Hand dial case ETC? No need to mod anything?

Swap should be 1:1 yes. I had a minor issue on one with two ARF hands fitting a little loosely on the VR hand posts. It required some slight pinching of the hand collars. Probably a one-off, as other members have done this, or used gen hands on the VR. The hands hole sizes are supposed to be the same.

I'll have a look and see if I have the same issue. I might play it safe and ask one of the modders to swap the movements for me as he can service it and waterproof test it once it's all been put back together. Thanks for all your help. It's a shame because i was really happy with the example that I managed to get!

It will be a better watch with the VR3185 movement. You may want to go ahead and install the gen 3185 jump click and be done with it. The VR datewheel is much better than the ARF, so the money you save not needing a gen DW would pay for a gen 3185 jump click.

I was thinking about swapping out the date wheel any way is it was too bold and the alignment wasn't 100% on. So the VR date wheel would be a perfect upgrade as it comes with the movement! How much of an upgrade would the gen jump click be. Is there anything wrong with the VR jump click?

I linked to a sale for the VR gen jump click. I haven't had to use one yet but it's the only Achilles heel.

Sorry, I don't think I worded my question very well. I took a look at the link you posted. - The price is really good for the gen jump click, what I was trying to find out is how good the VR3185 standard jump click is, do we know of it failing on anyone's watch yet?

(Having just paid for the watch, I'm trying to keep costs low on the repair.)

U.K.
I swapped in a VR3185 the day my Arf arrived. Swap was straightforward with no issues and is runnnig strong and as said the datewheel is way better than arf.
My SH3186 was runnnig fine but wanted to swap anyway.

It also has a gen crystal and will get a gen insert next week!
