Lucky you (if you like the fit). I have the exact same wrist size.

36 mm is a bit small considering todays style of gents, if you're not over 60 years or so (or very skinny). But that's a personal opinion (and abservation in life).

This guy also have 6,5 inch wrist and wears DJ 41. Your choice:

Like I have been saying the REF Datejust is looking better and better
Sharp lugs, tight SELs, and despite Puretime listing it as 316L, it is actually 904L steel. Their dial colors might not be spot on, but the rest of the watch looks damn good including DW and Crystal!

I've wondered about REF myself before. Taking 1.5 hours for the dw to snap over was my primary hold up though... wonder if that got sorted out?

Also, Noob showing some promise with their DJ41. Their case is nice... although to be honest I'm fine with ARF cases, but who doesn't like improvement? But I am realllly crossing my fingers that (quality) clone 3235 movements become a thing.

I'd probably own a franken in damn near every configuration of Datejust 41.

I'm just in need of a good base case. It will be getting a gen movement.

You have one? Doing the math, from the prices I've seen, makes zero sense to do a datejust franken with a gen movement. At least considering the movements I have seen are $3000+. With the time, patience, energy, and money you'll sink into that franken, you'd be better off waiting for a deal on a gen 126300. I've seen them sell for under $6000... now that we are past the initial corona virus shock, you can still get them for low $6000.

Unless you have a hook up on that 3235 movement. Then thats pretty cool.

I have a 6.8 wrist and feel that the ideal size is 39/40mm watches. DJ36 feels small to me. DJ41 is ok but wish it was 40mm. You would think that I am crazy over 1mm but i don’t like watch lugs sitting too close to the edge of my wrist. The one good thing about jubilee is because of smaller links it hugs the wrist much better. Good luck!!

I think there was a study not long ago, that essentially concluded that 39mm was the size that suited most people of today.

People with big and medium and even small wrists can support a 39mm without it looking dumb.

Point is the DJ41 isn't 41mm its 39.5mm...

I have an 8" wrist... so pretty big (I'm 6ft 6 or 2 metres tall) and a 39mm watch looks great on me, particularly if it's more dressy. But any smaller than 39... and things start to look like toy town. The DJ41 is very well proportioned imo.

As is the DJ II... which got slated for being "too big" but it's really not. If you can wear a milguas you can pull off a DJ II.

Anyway the good thing with the rep game is... if you try the DJ41 and you feel it's too big, someone will buy it off you and you'll lose very little money if any.

Hi guys, I'm looking for a DJ, don't know if 126234 or 116234 yet, In both case i'll go for an ARF. I was scrolling on puretime and i've seen this one from EWF (https://puretimewatch.io/datejust-36...let-a3235.html). Anyone has it or had any experience with? it's not 904L cause it's 316L, but i mean if it's ok and i can save some money...why not?
And there is any very big difference between 904L and 316L or not?

thank you.

You're posting 36mm datejusts in a 41mm datejust thread. Can you see the problem?

Another factor to consider is the lug to lug dimension. Rep and gen dealers often give the diameter and thickness dimensions of a watch but omit the lug to lug dimension.

i've said that i don't know if take the 36mm or the 41mm, read better before write next time.

Read better next time?

Are you feeling okay? Literally, above your post. I describe the 41mm in sizing details, I describe it's case size.

Then you post your shit?

Then you post about a 36mm DJ in a 41mm forum.

Read better.

Wrist size isnt that important, if one have “flat” wrist, any size of the watch will look good. So you need wide and flat wrist.

I really would just by the gen instead concidering all those mods.

You're going to pay a shit load of money for something that still will be a rep in the end. Especially if you're going for the gen movement.
