How is it possible to identify a gen bezel as correct for the 41mm DJ? There are some different models on the market, all claim to be 41mm or DJ2 but some of them got 2 Rolex crowns or 3 Rolex crowns on the back.

And how would we know if they are gen or rep? I guess the rep got that crown also on the back?

Cadows New hands can cost a pretty penny. And the Wimbledon dial only has one lume point anyways, so may not be worth it. And the modding labor prob goes up a good amount due to the hands being tricky to do.

Only posting an alternative point of view for the sake of discussion.

I have bought several parts from Interaktiv though, and he has always been a pleasure to work with. I'm probably going to end up having him do a datejust franken for me also!

Yes mate I thought of it too, your right. ARF hands are good enough, maybe reluming only

Did anyone shipping with DHL notice any delay? How long did it take for you to receive your package nowadays due covid-19?

Thats great to know. I finally decided to make Wimbledon DJ with gen dial, gen DW, gen crystal (btw is B25-318-C2-C1 the right reference?), and maybe a gen ETA so that I can be worry free for couple of years. Im in Europe, can interaktiv do all that? Thanks for your help mate! [h=1][/h]

Wimbledon DJ 41 dial is pricy. I was thinking the same thing. Also, prices are all over the map. They seem to range from $950 for a dial to $1800.

Yes. Everything is running slower. Much slower.

It's not a blanket true statement. I ordered something on ebay from China 10 days ago.. it arrived yesterday. That includes weekends, bank holiday... that's pretty damn good if you ask me.

I think as a whole most of the process has slowed down, but every now and then something seems to creep through the radar very quickly. If you check out some of the puretime reviews on their website from this time period, some people have received orders in as little as 4 days... which is absurd. I think it's down to luck more than anything.

But the bit of crap I ordered off ebay was a £3.99 washer... so I don't think they would have used fast postal service... and it arrived in 9 days from order to delivery. That's pretty good!

Not true for FedEx. Received 3 FedEx packages from Trusty in the last 3 weeks. Package picked up by FedEx from handler approx 5-7 days after QC approval. Since then, it arrived to my door within 2 business days (1 package took 4 days because of Easter weekend). Keep in mind, there is a lot more customs scrutiny in China/HK now to avoid medical supplies shipping scams. So the handlers are deliberately slowing down the number of packages being sent to FedEx (that why the 5-7 days for package pickup delays)

Yes, once they’re in the hands of the carrier it’s not too bad despite Asian customs opening most packages looking for medical supplies being shipped out.
but getting them in the hands of the carrier is another story. I have orders with trusy and JTime. I approved QCs with Andrew on March 28th and it still hasn’t been picked up. I approved qc pics with Li on the 2 and 4th and those also have yet to be picked up.

I purchased a watch m2m and where he walked the package to the post office, it arrived 3 days after making the purchase. 2 days before the projected delivery date. I have a number of other examples where things arrived on time and many where they arrived late.

So yes, as a blanket statement, it is not accurate but in general, it is better to prepare for a more likely result of longer shipping (or maybe it’s more accurate to say more handling time) times than quick/easy shipping times.

GEN Rolex dial and hands on 2824. What Does Not Fit Can be Made to Fit :rotors:

Have you ever tested to see if the gen 3136 would fit in the case? Given it's a 2824, the stem height should be the same as 3136, right?

I'll try over the weekend and I'll let you know, but I think it will fit with a little modification!

But if GEN movement then why not immediately a 3235 and you want to try 3136?

A bunch of then on sale on ebay now for around that price. The wimbledon is a "stand out from the crowd" kind of dial, so you pay a premium for it.
I just wish this dial had numerals thay lumed. If this dial had numerals that lummed, it would be killer. Killer.

Without lume, I just can't get on board with it. I love it but the one lumed marker at 9 o'clock just drives me crazy. It looks lopsided and it's all I'd stare at. Personally.

I wish they had it illuminate like the silver dial with the lilac Arabic numerals.

Totally agree!! Even though the DJ41 is a dress watch, I am all onboard with more lume. Like the slate Daytona racing dial, it would be a "killer" with lume inside the roman markers. I love the Datejust II Arabic dial, one of my favs. Here is a pic of my franken build (ARF DJ41 case + 2824 movement with gen Arabic dial). Since this dial has CL lume, it goes well with the ARF hands).
