Dont know mate but i know he is very professional and good guy,he also installed gen DW on my datejust, centered perfectly

Thats great to know. I finally decided to make Wimbledon DJ with gen dial, gen DW, gen crystal (btw is B25-318-C2-C1 the right reference?), and maybe a gen ETA so that I can be worry free for couple of years. Im in Europe, can interaktiv do all that? Thanks for your help mate! [h=1][/h]

Interactiv is also EU based. He is probably the most proficient with the ARF DJ 41 Franken/modding on this forum. He has a lot of Informative posts on this thread. The crystal you purchased is the right one, same one I used.

Also to your previous question about dial, I don’t know if diameters are different, but a gen dial fits the ARF case with some modding (because of the feet/grove)

srhoque confirmed everything... also maybe you dont need gen 2824 as this movement is very very reliable,i didnt heard so far that someone had some problem with it... if it die somehow someday than you can replace it

srhoque Robi01 Thank you guys! One more thing, hows the hands and bezel in your opinion? I know I can source gen bezel but would it fit?

Here you can see side by side, left is only gen DW and all other things are stock arf... on the right side you can see gen DW,gen crystal and gen hands.. as you can see gen indicators and hands have little darker lume, arf is more white.. bezel i dont think that is too much difference with gen IMO

ARF hands are pretty good. My 2 cents...If dial is gen, I would do gen hands too (they match in marker shine and lume). The 126334 gen bezel fits the ARF case.

I have gen silver dial, eta and gen crystal and date wheel.

You have to mod the dial, remove the feet and also the retaining ring inside needed changing according to my watchmaker. He said it wasn't an easy process, however once modified the gen dial could be swapped out for other gen dials very easily.

Regarding the need for gen hands... it's not necessary. I didn't bother and I have no regrets. HOWEVER, that said when it is dark and the lume is triggered... the dial glows much better than the hands. I use this watch as a dress watch so it really doesn't bother me. If you were to use this as a daily watch and wanted the lume... then yes I think you should get gen hands.

However if you're attaching GEN Hands to an ETA then you'll find your modder has to mod the hands too. It's tricky and fiddly!

Interaktiv can even mod gen hands to fit ETA?

Just PM interaktiv? He's a great guy and will help you. He will answer all your questions, and just for the record it is certainly possible.
Just seems silly to keep posting here when the actual modder can help you far better imo

True bro. Thanks

Look at the recent pics that Interactiv has posted in this thread, you will get all your answers :p

Yes, he did fit gen hands on my gen ETA.

Cadows New hands can cost a pretty penny. And the Wimbledon dial only has one lume point anyways, so may not be worth it. And the modding labor prob goes up a good amount due to the hands being tricky to do.

Only posting an alternative point of view for the sake of discussion.

I have bought several parts from Interaktiv though, and he has always been a pleasure to work with. I'm probably going to end up having him do a datejust franken for me also!

Oh and also, I've learned that modern datejust dials have ridges on the perimeter as compared to dial feet. So my understanding is that the gen dial wont need to be modified/damaged.

Yes interaktiv has done this for me can’t wait to receive the parts and finish the build. He mods the pinions for the movement so the gen hands can fit. Hands aren’t cheap though. Great guy to deal with as well

Correct although You’ll need to mod either the dial perimeter feet or the movement holder to fit the dial. I machined my movement ring to fit the back of the gen dial

Thanks for sharing! I am so curious about how this stuff works. I don't trust myself enough to take things apart and be able to put them back together lol. But seeing how it works is great. I appreciate it more when I have a better understanding of what goes into it. Literally and figuratively haha.

How is it possible to identify a gen bezel as correct for the 41mm DJ? There are some different models on the market, all claim to be 41mm or DJ2 but some of them got 2 Rolex crowns or 3 Rolex crowns on the back.

And how would we know if they are gen or rep? I guess the rep got that crown also on the back?
