ZF seems to be dropping the ball lately, not only with VC 4500v but with 15500 too. I found out that in mine faulty at the arrival AP RO (loose cannon pinion) the case back hasn't been screwed down enough so that when looked at from the side, there is a noticeable gap between it and the case. Plus, one can see four screws. How did it pass QC is beyond me (wasn't visible at TD QC pics). Buyers, beware ;)

I intentionally kept his name/ company name out of this and I shall keep it this way, at least for now. The service was great, from the quick e-mail exchange and almost instant QC pics to fast and safe (triangular) shipping. I received my watch after 2 weeks with no custom issues. This part was great. I could and I will recommend this TD for that. The watch is the problematic piece, hence I write in this section/ thread.

I'm taking this rep to the watch smith's tomorrow for a check up. My TD is well aware of loose cannon pinion issue (which might have happened during long trip from China) and he offered that I could send it back right away for a swap or take it to a professional to asses the problem. The choice, in my opinion, was obvious - I don't want to sent it back to China

The loose case back is a brand new issue. I noticed it by an accident (the rep is still in factory wraps, there is no point in wearing it), took some pics and send them to my TD. It changes little at this point, as the service is inevitable, but shows how ZF performs lately.

This issue is so ridiculous, I'm not surprised that TD did not notice this as it's really hard to understand that such a watch has left ZF and, due to this, look for said issue during a QC session. Crooked dial is a one thing. But each rep should be at least fully (completely) assembled before sending it to the vendor, for crying out loud… 50 meters of WR from the factory my ass :ROFLMAO: I can see through the damn thing. Screws are loose too, obviously, but I don't want to over tighten those as there might be another problem with the case back and it will be disassembled anyway.

The watch is stunning though, which only amps up my annoyance as for now it's just a pretty paperweight.

Once I had an issue with a rep ordered from InTime. They accepted a return and sent the fixed watch back to me.

I'm glad it worked out for you. This was an option with my TD as well. Thing is, from what I read here, that's a gamble and it is advised to try and service the watch locally. Part of a rep game, huh? ;)

I spent some time working on this movement for someone. The click stop that stops the balance wheel in the time setting was not engaging properly, so the part had to be slightly reshaped to allow for proper clearance. I also wanted to point out the oddity of the keyless works for engaging second and third stop for date and time setting. It rests on a single gear that is on a spindle that pivots as the keyless is pulled. It's a silly design and I've seen two watches come through now that have had this part damaged.

This album shows both in video form:

Question guys! I used to own the v1 of the ZF 15500 back then. My only complaint of that one was the loose logo clasp. Has the latest v3 fixed this issue? Cheers

V3 is my first 15500 rep, but I can say that the clasp is solid (y) No logo movement whatsoever. This may not be a standard, as all with reps, but still.

Thank you thats great to hear
Don't mention it. Maybe others will chime in too. Plus, you could always ask your TD to check this piece. Along with the case back (mine wasn't screwed all the way to the case...) and other issues you might be concerned with.
