If you’re thinking to put it on rubber straps you’ll need the 4 endlinks and also a clasp/buckle as well. If these are included the quoted price is rather reasonable.

As per the gen, the 15400 straps, plots and buckle will serve nicely.

Hi, I saw in the specs that ZF is 0.5cm thicker than APSF, which itself is 0.1cm thicker than gen. Is anyone here concerned about this tradeoff for a better dial?

My ZF V3 arrived today, one day before Xmas. A small miracle, took only 3 weeks from initial TD contact until delivery! I like it A LOT. Glad I switched from black to blue. The dial is friggin' gorgeous. Build quality is impressive.

Don’t worry about whatever thickness difference or dial difference, if you’re accepting the price difference between the gen and the rep. Enjoy the replica watch for what it is and if you wish to compare the thickness or dial, don’t forget to factor in the price comparison too.
The only true 1:1 watch is when a gen is compared against another gen. My advice is to accept the insignificant differences without worry, these are reps and should be enjoyed as such.

Diff = 0.1mm

According to another post, the ZF factory has decided to no longer do engraving but just painted parts. This was probably cheaper than trying to improve their engraving. You think the Swiss will pickup this practice?

I do not know if this is a serious question or not. You’re essentially asking me if the gen brand manufacturers will adopt the practice of the rep factories to save cost? Personally I do not think that will happen as the watch brands will want to maintain the luxuriousness and premium feel of their brands, at least for a brand like AP. Anything can happen of course but this is my opinion.
I do for example think that the new 26238 cal 4404 movement decoration is lacking vs the 3120. So yes that is a form of “cheapening” I see.

There is no way a Genuine maker is going to cheapen their product this way. They will increase their price to cover the cost. If a Rep factory wants to have the reputation of making the best the they will increase their prices to cover cost of doing engraving. The PPF has gone to painting instead of engraving on their latest batch of Patek 5712. The price is the same as the engraved ones in the last batch. I personally would pay move for the engraving if offered. I wouldn’t buy the painted one at all. Would be interesting to see a poll on this.
