The description says that ties are made of polyester, not silk.

Hmmm... These have the same body and finish as some of my expensive silk ties, so I don't know. Anyone know of a way to test them to see for sure?

The description says both silk and polyester, more than likely it's some sort of microfiber which is almost identical to silk, but also remember silk is very heavily produced in China, so it could be an authentic blend

if you want one with the right engravings, then it doesn't seem to exist yet. The Hermes engravings in this link are also wrong.

It's really a shame...the leather itself is a fine rep...it's just a simple engraving on the top of the buckle yet a factory hasn't bothered to change it yet.

Should say -HERMES- on top. That's it. Not the thick/big HERMES plus that 18K logo they put on there.

I dont get it why, it should be really easy to copy something that is of steel and does not have much detail...

I have been seeing some Zegna buckles, "Z" seems to dont be really popular but looks great.

There is a guy in the Netherlands that sells one with perfect engravings for €120,- (rep)

Don't know where he got it from, but for me that's too expensive for a rep

So it has finally happened: after 23 smooth purchases from Ali, on top of 7 watches and various handbags and accessories for the Mrs I have finally fallen foul of customs. Their haul: $15 worth of sunglasses! The cheapest of any of the 30+ parcels is the one that gets stopped, I should be thankful for that I suppose but it has annoyed me much more than it should!

Payment ( money ) stays with Ali untill you receive what you ordered and confirm everything is OK
So now you wait for shippment from seller, they all have shipping time listed under the product, but this means nothing even if they tell you its shipped and give you tracking info. Basically Ali is for patient people, else is OK.

First of my many orders just came in, speedcross 3 salomon. The top 2 in this photo are gens bottom is the aliexpress.

Notes:

I have owned over 15 pairs of the gens, used for casual and hill running. On the foot I would not be able to tell if you were wearing reps.
However when I put them on I can tell the difference, they dont feel like speedcross 3 which are exceptionally comfy...these just feel like regular traines like nike etc so not bad but I wouldnt reccomend them for hill running etc (which is fine because I bought these to wear with jeans etc)

Construction is very good but not as good as the gen obv, some glue marks easily rubbed away.
The lace is way too long.
The tongue is just too short.
The insole is not the ortholite, its just a standard insole with the correct priniting.

Al in incredibly happy with these and will be ordering 3 or 4 more in different colours tonight. Took 6 days to get here (very good) but as is the case link is not working anymore, so type in zapalitas and they should come up.

pretty much the same, a little tighter so maybe go half or 1 size up from what you normally wear

Yes, even the gen leather I felt is not anything to write home about, so the reps would be fine as long as they used decent quality leather. Any way to find out where that guy gets the correct buckle from? Haven't seen any from the sellers in China yet.
