Sorry, but I think the date wheel is misplaced, too far to the right and too far to the top of the window. You can fix this yourself, but need some watch smith skills or know a watch smith working on reps.

Higginsd can you tell me how the datewheel misaligned can be fixed?
I brought my old watch to a watchsmith before deciding to ship back to China and the watchsmith said it couldn't be fixed and in China the TD simply switched the watch with a new one..

Thanks for the tip. Doesn't really bother me that much though I think it's the angle that made it look too far to the right. Other shots look center to me.

OK, it looks centered but still too far to the top. (Maybe also the angle of view) This can possibly be adjusted. http://www.watchrepairtalk.com/topic/2739-aligning-the-date-in-the-dial-window/

I didn't say it is always possible and it is no easy fix. Possibly you'll have to change the date wheel or the overlay of the wheel.

I think it's better you reject this watch.
spursian: where did you get this strap from?

No worries mate. Thanks for the advice but I've already accepted the QC.

I ordered the strap from cheergiant, a Taiwanese based strap maker. Check out his album here.

Thanks a lot, I didn't know this maker 'til now. A very interesting site, some really good works. How much did you pay?

EDIT: any contact info? PN...

His current promotional price for this particular strap is $90, inclusive of shipping.

Just received mine and the sec@6 sweep is pretty smooth with no stuttering, unlike my old Portuguese chrono.

Something i just noticed on the dial of the V6 version. The inverted triangle mark at the 12 pos is too small. It doesn't cover the 'plate' right underneath, like the gen (or the ZF for that matter). Not sure its a deal breaker for me since the track record of the ZF factory for qc scares me a little. It's still a beautiful watch.

just a few updates...

the "post" (not sure the correct terminology here) broke off at some point from the clasp... the one that goes into the holes on the strap. Luckily the strap was made a little big, so its a non issue for me since it doesn't move. but just a FYI to all.

secondly it seems like the power reserve is about ~48hrs or so, just judging off of leaving it on the dresser over the weekend. not too bad as the gen is 68hrs i believe?

^ Just buy it and enjoy. If you keep waiting you'll be waiting forever. There is always a v2/v3/v4/v5..........LOL

AP Diver we are up to v8 and for Rolex Subs its now V6s.............but i'm sure there are well over 15 different versions we just dont increment the version number unless there is significant differences

yes, it is the new 7750 with working 60second subdial

but like peter said above, you can wait forever and new versions will keep coming out...
