I dont think ZF is 60 min counter. I can confirm again the v6f is 60min counter

My ZF sec@6 is butter smooth but I don't like the 30min counter.. If the v3 will have the 60min I will consider an upgrade

Things is, I'm not sure we've seen the correction zf made to their gear train on any v6 version. Anyone knows if they've done the same thing?

I'd prefer the 30 min counter issue over the sec@60 stutter as I rarely use the chrono. I just feel the stuttering will eventually lead to a gear failure. I had read a post somewhere that the V6 version had resolved the stutter issue if someone can possibly confirm this.

With v3 I mean the upcoming new ZF version that someone hope it will correct the 30 min chrono. I of course priority for me is reliability and smooth second at 6 but a correct chrono function would be a good addition. No one have seen so far the v6 powertrain nor the new ZF movement. The only indo is that the new ZF will have an improved AR. The v6 i read of some users that found smooth sec and stutter so I think is more a qc issue

My ZF will probably go to the sales section once the V6F arrives. ;)

any reports regarding reliability and robustness of this particular model from V6 after couple of weeks? I'm about to pull the trigger since the new ZF's 2016 Spitfire has so many reported flaws and obvious tells.

How about the concentric circles in the Subdials 12 & 6?
Do they exist in V6f / visible or not ?
In ZF version i was able to find some quality photos with these circles but not in V6. Could an existing owner of v6 share with us a picture of his watch on this point?

Is there anyone that owns both versions to share with us a comparison?

I own both, and both have the concentric circles. Both pretty subtle as it is supposed to be.

I asked my TD on this and his reply was that the V6 doesn't have them. I have already one v6 on order , so i will wait for the QC pictures to check too.
Since you own both, would it be possible to share few pictures of the watches one next to the other?

Are there any obvious differences between the ZF and V6 version? The only one i was able to spot is a different mark in the internal side of the strap (ZF : BUBX /V6: BVAY) and also i think the serials of ZF begin with 51 while the ones of V6 with 52.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Who is this TD? He obviously has no clue about what he is selling.

As I am currently in the US I am sorry but no, I can't before Sep 13. Besides, my watch smith has the ZF for service so I would have to wait to get it back anyway.

The only difference I could see is that the dial of the ZF is a tiny bit more "brown-ish" whilst the V6 is ore "grey-ish". Other than that, you always need to have a very close look at the QC pictures of ZF, especially regarding the crooked 1 at 10 since they really are too dumb to get that always properly assembled.

Thanx again for the info!

In regards for the TD i dont want to mention something until the transaction is finished. I plan to write a review of the order with positives and negatives (if any).

I have chosen the v6f version ...and from all the watches seen so far online i couldn't distinguise any flaws at least on the dial, while in zf i saw allignement issues in the DW mainly. I will wait my watch to verify .

After a couple of weeks with my new 3878 v6f , i can admit that i am amazed with the replication level done by these factories (It is my 1st rep).
I need now to consider for a proper watch box to store current & future purchases.

As far as the v6f is concerned i can confirm what my TD (Ryan) mentioned in our email exchange that there are no concentric circles in the subdials of this version as per gen.
I had the chance to try a Gen 387802 in Zurich few weeks ago where i confirmed that.

From a quick comparison with the Gen i noticed 2 things:
1st - the sharp edges at the lugs of the Rep case where you could find yourself almost injured :)
2nd - i have the feeling that the "IWC" logo in the dial is bolder in the Gen.

Strap: Even thought the color in the photos seems ok the feeling when you try it is very cheap , my gator from orloff is already on the way .. pics within the next days.

Noise : No difference to my gen IWCs.

@Variatio : It would be really interesting if you could post some photos of the 2 versions to see if there any majors diffs between them.

Trust me, they are there, as well in the gen subdials as in the V6F and ZF subdials. You need to take a very close look, but finally you should be able to notice them. Besides, this has already been discussed here - and confirmed accordingly.

I just got my ZF back from the watchsmith and will try to post a comparison pic, however you wan't see much of a difference - if any - except the color of the dial, which only becomes visible when you got the watches side by side anyway.
