Que knows exactly what he is talking about. The only stock copy case is the WM9 version. If not you need to get a TC case or a phong case. Startime is an amazing case if you can get use to the stubby crown guards. Bezel? Plenty of real ones with inserts on EBay for under $1000. If you can't afford that then WSO solid 18k is the next best thing. Star time would be next but it has a small lip that drove me nuts and I brought a real full bezel assembly.

Listen to Que. people try and try to build 16613 with other parts and they look like crap. I have seen them on here and I just don't comment. Rude too. Simple rules with it.

Understood. Just trying to get my feet wet at first, not dive in it right away. I believe I'd just get a better base eventually and use the gen or other parts I get

Best statement ever! The base is the most important part. Get a gen spec case. If you want to use a eta 2824 or a clone eta 2824 all you need is a movement adapter. TC makes them and a few others. If you drop a lot of money on a dial like I did. Don't cut the feet. You will kick yourself in the butt.

Will try. But I'm skipping everything that contains Rolex nowadays so don't count on me.

That is my baby. It's a 16803. Rolex 3035 with everything Rolex but the case. It's a Startime 3035 case. I recently had a chance to get a 16803 case with papers. Ended up being a fake case! So I just ordered a phong one. Hope to have it soon. The stubby crown guards drive me nuts. I own a 16613 black and gold that I brought at rolex USA. The crown guards on the ST cases are way to small.

Take your time. Start with a gen spec case. Buy a incredible dial and save it till you get a Yuki or a real 3135. If you want black I have a dial and hands and date wheel for you. Blue as you see I used them. My bezel assembly came from a 16803 as did my dial. So I had the 3035 case and movement so I went that route. No regrets except the stubby crown guards.... lol

I think the route I'm going to take when I'm ready if I can't get a WM9 is to buy a TC 16610 and build the 16613 off of that. @QueTip

Yep do not rush it do it over time.

I bought a BP last year, just to see if I like it. I decided back then that I was going the WM9 route, I gave the BP to my father in law to abuse. Then got distracted by too many other shiny things. I got the BP back recently to replace the Bezel. I fell in love with it again. To me this is probably the ultimate versatile watch. I have an old franken on the way and some gen bits just in case lol. But I am on the search for a WM9. Otherwise it will be TC or Startime case and build from scratch. I may be late to the party for a WM9 but I have to try.

The build cost initially put me off, but since I bought the BP I cringe to think about what I have spent on watches. So I just sell a few and that finances the slow and steady build. The question one is always left with is "are you better off just going gen altogether?" as the cost of a build can be quite steep.

I know the question that is running through my head. Can you do a Bluesy build on a JF SH3135 16610 ????

The obvious prob is the rehaut. But will it take a gen bezel? I see it takes gen crystal and I think it takes the insert. I am sure there are those who have looked closer than I. Does the SH3135 take gen dial feet?

Yeah I know I could trawl through the countless posts on the JF but every time I o to do something my PMs and notifications become a tad distracting. I swear I caught up with so much reading while the forum was down.

But you are going to need a wedding watch, so start building.

I was knee deep into a build. Sourced everything, gen trit dial, gen trit hands, gen datewheel, gen insert and a TC lug hole case. Decided last minute to build a early 16610 instead since I already had the gen 16610 dial and insert (Imma hoarder, forgive me). I couldn't afford the 18K bezel or crown (not to mention the bracelet).
