Better than words :

Not saying the MKF is a bad watch though. But the dial pattern is off, again. The 'classic' Miyota dial is better in terms of pattern, though color is not perfect.

Pattern some way off, but color not so off, this past weekend I was at a golf tournament and some of my friends wear gen APa mostly but there's this guy who has 5711 and I can say that the color rendering under the same light was near 98% in terms of saturation, light gradient and the hue of the blue, nor that bad.

For the person who asked about the thickness I tried the real one and you can feel something a little bit different, but it is not noticeable with the naked eye I'll post a wrist photo later

Please post a wrist-shot when you have time.
Does it feel a bit thick on the wrist? this is the reason why so many people held back when this came out.
Thanks

At least to me it doesn't feel thick at all. I guess I am used to the height of Pams, AP and Subs

Don't worry Barth, I totally understand what your saying, I was making a reference to previews reps. The dial is way better now, but still obviously lacking certain details in comparison to the gen. But you know the deal with reps, is all about how much the wrong details bother you in order to enjoy your watch haha.

You're very right there mate :punk:

(and the color does look decent)

It does look thicker on the wrist. Why can't they just put those hands on the other Miyota version and call it a day?

This is a great shot, the dial pattern would be a plus but it doesn't bother me that much, what s weird is that they nailed it on the white version.
What matters more for me is the dial color and overall quality. This one seems to tick the boxes...

How is the bracelet quality, feels sturdy and comfortable? To remove links, does it have screws or pins?
Sorry for all the annoying questions....

Its hard to judge the thickness from pictures, its definitely thicker but cant tell if it is that noticeable once on the wrist.

Anyways, congrats on taking the plunge, I might follow very soon thanks to your pictures.

Could anyone chime in on how to size the bracelet, screws or pins?
I approved my QC already and it should arrive soon but I want to be able to size it as soon as I get it. Thanks

On my miyota version I got pins. I used a pin pusher tool to get them out and remove the unneeded pins. Best results achieved using a pin remover watchsmith tool (looks like a box to hold the watch in place with a pin you can screw into your bracelet). Costs a few USD in Aliexpress. Hope its clear!

Thanks, I used an improvised tool but it worked without too many issues.
This watch is stunning, the thickness is definitely not as noticeable as I thought!
Quality is also excellent, it is much better finished than my TF 15400 and feels great on the wrist.
I haven't owned the 5711 from other factories so I cant compare but I would definitely recommend this MKF...

I can live with the small changes in color but the engraving is so wrong on this version.

Is the MK Factory 5711 version waterproof? My watch didn't pass the waterproof test but i see on some TDs websites its waterproof, so i want to confirm this is a defective version before shipment.

Thanks

woudlnt recommend that you focus too much attention on the waterproofness of the reps.... the reps just arent built with the intention for diving and swimming

MKF looks really nice, decoration of movement is not so important for me as I am waering the watch and do not see it then. But ... 12 mm? Its 33% more that the Gen. Got meanwhile the Miyota Rep wich is slightly thicker that the gen. Mainly satified but have to live with wrong hands and pins in braclet i/o screws.
