Yeah, all I did was swap the dials. I prefer the ZF over the 3K in every aspect other than the dial and thickness. But IMO the difference in thickness is a moot point.

Does the ZF strap fit on the 3kf case?

Beautiful watch mate! I have the ZF (long debated the 3k) and agree the case shape is much better. Love it so far and the reliable miyota.

How do you find the difference between the sunburst of the two dials? I don't have a 3k to ci pare to, but to me the ZF seems a bit too shiny.

I find the ZF sunburst overdone. Especially considering the 3K sunburst is more pronounced than a gen dial.

Wow that's difference in dial is huge! The 3K dial is super solid. So elegant. Think this is probably the best custom you can do, better than the ppf mod!

Yes. The 3k watch in my photos has a ZF strap on it.

After having done some research the last days I think a 3KF Aquanaut will be my first Patek rep.
As I have found out the 2007-2009 models had a wider bezel and missed the „swiss made“ on the dial. So there is no reason to mod these „flaws“ in my opinion as they‘re no flaws at all. The new 3KF 1.1 version with a little bolder date font looks great to me and if my td gets me a model without the gold engraving I will be happy.

i got my aquanaut around 2 weeks ago it was still working and I don’t even wind it, just set the time.
after around a week of wearing it I found out it is +1 minute per day.
i let is it seat until it stops, it was around 18 hours of power reserve, I manually wind it around 40 times without wearing it this time I got only around 12 hours power reserve.

A Service may help It is a pretty close clone of the original. You can console yourself in the knowledge that the gen movement is a pretty basic thing . Remote seconds (Converted to center seconds) Single CCW direction autowinding and reputedly questionable in practice PR.
Serviced I think it should provide COSC accuracy and over 30 hour PR

Thank you, that was what I was thinking also I am just not sure if regular watch smith can do the service on this clone, sorry I am all new to this and this is also brand new I cannot find any info if this movement have been serviced by anyone yet. Looks like also the paint is coming off from the movement maybe this also can affect the movement.

Got mine a couple of days ago. Steel bracelet, without the gold stamps on the back lugs.

honestly, I’m disappointed... this is my first PP rep, and I have never had a gen PP, so I have nothing to compare it to, bedside my gen Rolexes. And the overall flimsyness is just disappointing. It doesn’t fell solid like a Rolex, don’t know if I should, but in the end, it’s not for me... If the gen is more or less the same, I’m really happy I bought this first

But the 3k is based on a pre 2009 5711 (Dial is lacking the Swiss made) So if you wanna compare it to a gem, it has to be pre 2009

I was thinking that the one with no Swiss made is the newest one, because all current watches on the pp website are without it.

In brevity, It is kinda feathered light isn’t it? On the flip side, it oozes class n more so for 5711 unlike its counterpart Rolex which is a tool watch boasts strongly for its rugged and robust design. Both are good in its merits. Just wear it to rise to the respective occasions

Talking about gen strap, for me not only the 21x1.8 made it perfect, I also had to put a 22x1.8 on the bottom lugs to make sure the strap doesn't unlock with very little constraints. I don't know if it is just my watchcase that has one or two tenth of a mm defect, but I just through it here for others to know.

Another point, it has been serviced (and on its way back from Nathan), it is apparently a difficult movement to regulate and results are not amazing (somewhere around +12s/day after service). Again I don't know if it is just my particular movement. I'll try the power reserve once received.
