A ... mazing!That's why I did this, I get to see my babies everyday, (well atm approx half of them) ....
However, it has been full for the last 3 months and before Christmas i bought all the bits to build one that is double the size, and with better shelf spacing so it can have 2 extra glass shelves as well, because atm I have a full cabinet, full watch box and about another 20 + watches all in various drawers etc waiting for my currently hectic life to slow down and then i can build the new cabinet.
I think by the time I get around to it the new enlarged version will likely be nearly full the way things are going right now
I couldn't do that.... cuz my wife would see in an instance what I am doing behind her back.
But I think she might be relieved that the money didn't go to another women.

If ya think about it, by this bypass, you're really considering her feelings, her emotional state, so you should be getting props, not grief ....

I always loved @Hyjynx explanation as to why his wife did not mind his enormous collection as it precluded him from spending money on his other hobbies, which were hookers and blow.

My better half has already taken over my closet to accommodate her bag collection. Hiding is not an option once she set it up for easy access and viewing.
That being said I agree with the happiness equation.

I’m sitting on about 140 at the moment. Hanging another case on the wall this weekend. Picking out a watch to wear is damn near impossible. I just stare at them for 15 minutes and see what calls my name.
You guys need to give a number to each watch and do a raffles each morning
I have had a very hectic past 3 months to facilitate our retirement, all manner of paperwork etc and selling off stuff i.e. 3 cars now gone and the PITA shop business we have both grown to hate.
I'm now no longer self employed. More paperwork to come, i.e. final tax returns but that can wait atm since the deadline isn't until 31/1/2026
And thus it was decreed last night by Mel that I should get all the boxes of bits out today and build my new 12 shelf illuminated display cabinet and once it's up on the wall bring in all the watches currently stored in the workshop kitchen, (approx 25 -30), to get them on display with those that are in the present 5 shelf cabinet so all my babies are then kept together.
I will hopefully have a lot more spare time on my hands this coming year, so I can finish the car port details, fit new windows in the log cabin, finish the catio, and start on the new boot room at the front of the hoose, as well as get the Land-Rover Discovery into the workshop for 2 - 3 weeks and finish off all the wee jobs list so he's ready for the next winter

Uh oh, OK....I have approximately 120-130 (no-one knows for sure)
A handful of gens (5)
A box full of high-end reps (about 20)
The rest are average low-mid-tier reps and Chinese branded (Sugess, San Martin etc etc)
*Note to self* I really need to start selling some again, it's been a while since i sold anything here.
They are either in watch boxes (I have 3) or a wall mounted cabinet (holds about 50 watches) or on on my shelf in the bedroom, oh and once leather briefcase that i converted to hold watches (nearly forgot about that one)
