It’s funny because my only watch box fits 12

It has one empty slot that I am keeping for some future « precious »…each time I the empty slot, I look down haughtily at you peasants’ lack of self control

But…

I put my Helm in my wife’s box, my Cartier sits its box, my Belkin in a travel case…I have another half a dozen donor watches in my parts closet and enough parts to build five more…

Had 65, sold off all after a costly mistake in life (another women ) .
Had a break for about 3 1/2 years, cleaning up the mess.

My comeback was about 6 month ago.

Wife took a very costly holiday, which I had to pay

Then I thought:"fuck it", and bought "what I felt I deserved",slowly but at a rising speed, one watch after another ...

Present: I have 10 Gens, 14 Reps, and 2 Chinese... and I repeat quietly to myself:. "only one more", "just one more" ...

I tell myself:" I only buy the real very good ones"

PS: 1.) I don't count Casio/G-Shock and
2.) wife knows nothing, because of me, bringing the "art of parcel management" to a whole new level.

... and just as I want to post this message, Elena sends me the shipping mail 2 Omegas incomming!!!

I haven't worked out the percentages, but my pie chart Brands are identical to yours with the addition of Breitling and TAG Heuer plus a few less major brands like Omega MoonSwatch, Seiko, Swiss Military, CasiOak, and not forgetting Reginald the Rolex homage
Rolex is by far my biggest number of one brand, I'd guess I have about 25 - 30 Rollii

I'm with @Karbon74, although my watch box is a bit smaller with 8 slots. I wanted to limit myself to a maximum of 1 watch for each day of the week and 1 for special occasions. There's one last free slot with a strong candidate.

From there it has to be: if one comes, one has to go to ...., but I don't need a slot for the watch on my wrist, do I? Then I have an extra slot for an ALS.

Story of a watch addict.

January 1 - I had 48 watches in two 24-count boxes. But I would tell friends and family that I only had a single box.
January 10 - I received my 49th watch and was about to buy another 24-count box. This was the moment I realized that I had a problem. I can see myself quickly filling the third box.
January 11 to February 18 - I went on a giving away spree and subsequently a selling spree including the watch boxes.
February 18 - Down to 11 watches and a 12-count watch box.

I just bought another watch. I hope I didn't just make a mistake. So as of today, I have 12 watches. The idea is one in and one out. I'm not 100% confident I can keep it that way. Watches and Wonders is coming...

You all might be able to imagine after a stressful day comming home and after meal sitting down and opening one watchbox after another to observe the shiny treasure..... ... musing about why it was a necessity ....

Every piece is unique.... no matter how many boxes ...

And I am relaxing...

That's why I did this, I get to see my babies everyday, (well atm approx half of them) ....



However, it has been full for the last 3 months and before Christmas i bought all the bits to build one that is double the size, and with better shelf spacing so it can have 2 extra glass shelves as well, because atm I have a full cabinet, full watch box and about another 20 + watches all in various drawers etc waiting for my currently hectic life to slow down and then i can build the new cabinet.

I think by the time I get around to it the new enlarged version will likely be nearly full the way things are going right now

Why not jump in... TLDR warning.

This all started because Traska watches (Venturer GMT) are usually sold out. While waiting I found this forum.

First - 15 years ago, Casio with solar panel on it. Bracelet pulls arm hair, don't wear it.

1 - Bought since Traska was sold out....Daytona - 116506 (Platona). Fun times with this in Wynn Las Vegas Pool. Will rotate on wrist when at Wynn/Encore a few times a year. Why not go big with a first rep?

2-Pam 1074 (42mm Bronze) - Love it!! Prof crystal is better than gen for this dial IMO. Fixing the bezel pip in a few days **Bad - grinding when winding seems it needs proper lubrication inside.

3-Pam 1507 - Wear a lot. Looks like gen. GMT is 12-hr hack, not 24hr complication. **Bad - Spring on crown stem either missing or not working. Created a new flat rubber washer to make water tight seal

4 - IWC Ingenieur - Aqua/Petrol dial. Raffle win. I do not recommend this watch. Good movement but had to align the bezel which took 4 tries to get right. Bracelet is off ( and no micro adjust) and dial has no magic to it in sunlight.

5 - Pam 1412 - Raffle win. Wear a lot. Bad - Wore it while running and got helicopter effect on rotor. I fixed buy getting some Lubera for the reversing wheel. These Pams need better servicing at VSF. Good - Looks like gen I saw outside the Venetian boutique in Vegas.

6 - Clean GMT II - Not sure which version. Solid watch. Not changing crystal like most of you here. Raffle win.

7 - Clean 36mm Oyster Tiffany Blue for the wife. She loves it.

8 - Casio G-Shock white - Going to put on a crystal, black dial and lumed hour markers from Aliexpress. I will run in this watch from now on.

9 - ? 126500 Clean Daytona Maybe? Pam 1543 (would get gen strap and prof crystal so x2 on cost)?

Still no Traska.
