2025 Check-in: How Many Watches Do You Have :)

A bit about me...back into reps after a decade's absence. Settled back in the prospective 51st State of the Union in the beginning of 2020 after two decades of a couple million miles of work travel and living all over the place (most recently the EU). I used to collect reps (not super high end) and now my only "nice" rep is a lovely Breitling chrono.

I now have 4 reps either here or on the way (Rolex OP 36 Yellow - love it / Tudor Sub - love it, but need to get used to a jubilee as I'm an oyster guy)/two Tags - McLaren F1 and Monaco - both on the way).

At my peak, let's say 1998-2000, I had well over 100 reps and a little buy and sell business in the very early day of pre-horrible eBay.

Now, just a few gensof sentimental value (a dozen-ish) and these reps.

I'm curious as to the size of your collections. My head tells me that while I am LOVING the look and quality of reps today, I don't want drawer queens so I guess I need to keep it well under 10.

I can prescribe something for that, I'm a doctor. I didn't realise this thing could become such an obsession. Great to be able to indulge your passion.

1 PP 5726 blue dial
1 PP 5711 fully modded green dial. Cost me over two grand and lasted 12 weeks. Sent back for repair
1 Vacheron Constantin Malte Tourbillon (my pride and joy - now with a gen alligator strap)
1 Vacheron Traditionallle (rose gold) - en route and due to arrive early next week courtesy of Dealer Clocks

I have 6 watches, 3 gens and 3 reps. My watchbox doesnt fit more, so thats my limit. Which is good otherwise it would be out of control

My auto winder holds 4 and I have to try really really hard to keep it to that! I can only justify another watch purchase to my significant other if I have a one in one out policy! I've a Kermit on the way and that will total four so I may and I say just may be able to hold onto the datejust!

I've often thought about selling my Gen sub to fuel this obsession but I can never get myself to actually do it.... so four it is!

2 more arrived today, total now is 76 plus another 6, of which 4 are in the "sick bay" with parts to fix here but no free time atm, also 2 still en route from China.

My first built display case is full (49), plus 2 in the DeepSea Challenge display on shelf below, the rest are in drawers and boxes waiting for me to build a new cabinet over double the size, again, all the bits are here, just mental busy with other stuff right now.

This will have 12 shelves and LED lighting instead of the current ones 5 shelves, (each shelf holds 10 watches)
The numbers above don't include a few I didn't like or replaced with high end so gave the original ones away.
Also Mel now has 4 Ladies reps.

Aside from 3 Gens and a Homage that I already had, all have been bought in 14 months
You lot are a bad influence Nah !! Not at all, I just love going at all my hobbies flat out

I currently have around 190.

33 gens (probably more, my Excel spreadsheet of shame isn't quite up-to-date). The rest reps/Frankens.

I really do find it hard to part with them... having said that, the spreadsheet claims I've sold over 70... which makes me feel a bit faint.
