Just updating, I got my LMPO back from the watchmakers today. I wanted to see if he could work any magic on the water tightness issue. He has done his best but won't guarantee, but it is safe now to tentatively go into the water. He also smoothed the bracelet and clasp for me with a file (FoC) as I was complaining about it. It now feels safe to wear without the sharpness irritating my skin.

I just went over the worn off paint on the caseback with a permanent marker and wiped off excess. A tip I think I learned off @Daywatch. He can correct me if I am wrong. It came up perfectly. (Looks like I will have to re-do the P in Planet)

I have been receiving a few PMs about the LMPO so here are more wristshots:

Hey, looks like your steering wheel is on the wrong side. Also, nice pics of a great watch.

Nice review. What part of the case leaks?. Is it the helium valve?

No its the case set itself I am told. If it is screwed too tight it could do damage due to the way it was made. It has been modded now by watchmaker and Pressure tested, but he said no guarantees on this one :(

Having read this review carefully twice in the short time i've been here I have to comment as to how useful this really is. Well done.
You get a feel for the replica LMPO which pictures alone wouldn't provide. I wish more reviewers could match your approach.

Good look with nato strap,it's a good idea to dress my LMPO ..but I prefer to buy a spectre with this strap..I hope that a new version is out in a few time!

Thank you very much for those kind comments.

I have messed with the strap on the LMPO more than any other rep. The SS bracelet is now perfect. I had it on a leather NATO, leather strap and now the nylon NATO. I am really linking this look as it keeps it casual.

So you mean the case/case back is the issue? I wonder what he means! It's strange this as usually reps are made in the same way any watch is made with standard xtal compression rings and stem and crown seals like any basic gen. Obviously gen divers have over engineered seals, and that's often where reps don't, so whilst not able to dive so much as they should at least be swimable with after a once over and seal lube etc.

I cannot offer anything further on this, all I can say is he did not like the case. I believe it was the CB fit he was talking about. He replaces seals on all my watches that he waterproofs as par for the course, it was only the LMPO he was not happy with. I have read in a few places recently that some TDs have said that this issue was fixed by Noob. This is not the only one out there with WP issues.

This has not been bumped for a while but with almost 10,000 views I am glad people are finding it, I was wearing it today and yes it is still a beauty :)

The date is wrong but I did correct it lol.

This is one of my favourite watches but for some reason I wear it the least.

Same here actually. The bracelet really annoyed me but I got it sanded down and it is a beauty to wear now. However the Ring around the seamasster on the Case Back is a little sharp and it rubs against my wrist. So I only wear it for a few hours at a time. I might sand this down too. When I got the LMPO first it never left my wrist but I did have a fairly irritated wrist though between the bracelet and CB. My skin is quite sensitive though. It might be the rep nickle content in the steel. My most comfortable rep to wear is actually a V2 Noob Rolex No Date and my cheapo SMP. No irritation from either of these.

I still think it is the most beautiful rep I have.

Quick update: I got around to sanding down the back ring. It is not as shiny now but a lot more comfortable to wear. It was well worth it.
