i think there may be some variation in the noob bezel color in their first batch as mine does not seem to be as dark as this one. i don't think mine matches the gen exactly either but definitely not as dark as the one above.

even antoine83's looks lighter green:

P1020156.jpg

it also really lightens up in natural light. i think it's still a fabulous version and by itself without the gen right next to it looks mighty fine.

i'm working on a method to "platinumize" all my rollie ceramics. people have been painting theirs way too silver in the other mods i've seen on the fora. during my experiments i have become painfully aware just how shallow and imprecise the noob bezel numbers have been cut. the gen engravings are sooo much deeper and exact. at least twice as deep into the ceramic. gotta stop looking through a loupe ;-)

when i perfect my method i will post a tutorial.

Just sharing my point of view/opinion

I want to start with the reminder that we are talking about replica watches on a replica watch forum. Even I sometimes get lost in my perfectionist thoughts how ever at the end we are buying a replica for around 200$/500$ and not the gen thats worth over 6k.

Most of us see this rep game as a hobby to turn a 100$ rep with huge amount of flaws into a rep that has the worth of 600$ with less flaws (not me I'm too busy with other stuff and I don't have te patience for it :))

In my opinion this new noobfactory Rolex submariner "C" Hulk edition is a great piece for a good price out of the box model without any modifications on it. If I'm not wrong u can get it with an asian clone movement (2836-2) for like 238$.
If you take a look at this model without a microscope it looks damn close to gen for that amount of money.

What bothers me the most is the fat dial hand what irritates me BIG time BUT its a cheap thing to mod or to get modified by a watch smith. Also the pearl + color is for me a flaw on this model what bothers me BUT again this can be modded quite easily or for a small amount of money.

Also what makes reviewing this watch pretty hard is the fact that the color of the bezel and the sunburst dial is really hard to capture properly on camera. Especially in the environment where we take our pictures in.
Putting the gen next to the rep on the picture makes it even worse in this case because the lightning fools around with us as what is mentioned before.

Of course the engraving and color of the bezel font is as good as I also hoped but I can live with this and when some one found a solution for this to mod this properly I would also get this modified.

Anyway this is my point of view and of course a lot of you disagree but I felt like sharing this.

I'm waiting for the BK modded version what I will order at the mid/end of this month. I'm getting the fat dial hand replaced for a proper/thinner one. This BK modded version will have the same mods as he did with the black sub c version. Even tho I think this watch looks great out of the box I want to put some more money into this watch to make it even better. And when I receive it I will directly ship it to Wiz. for a superlume job. This all will take quite a while but I'm looking forward to wear the end result.

Kind regards,

NSTNS

Thanks.

How ever don't see it as a mistake. I bought the wrong GMT-IIc last time, was only just a lesson for me. I think ur watch looks fine but if ur not satisfied sell it and make some one else happy with it and continue searching/hunting for another or whatever that does satisfies you!

Kind regards,

NSTNS

hulk A21J

Just received my hulk and was not pleased when got stopped at customs and had to pay vat + release fee =£23.
just a few observations on the watch was the second hand doesn't sweep entirely cleanly and is a little jerky, is this common with the A21J movement? is it better with the A2386 or the ETA2386?
the jewel on the dial is slightly off centre..
but other than that it is a beauty.

You've been very unlucky to get charged by customs, but really £23 is better than having it seized. What carrier did you get it shipped by?

The 21j movement is 6 beats per second and the ETA/Clone at 8 beats per second so it is definitely noticeably choppier.

The A21J is 21600bph and the 2386 are 28800bph so it will be smoother. (same bph as gen)

What Jewel on the dial are you talking about?

Mate, have a read at the wiki page..wat you got, the 21j, is the most basic and cheapest movement..it runs at 21,600bph..that's y the seconds hand is 'jerky'..the 2836-2, swiss or asian, runs at 28,800 bph so it is better in protraying a 'smooth sweep'..

That being said, the 21j is a workhorse..enjoy ur watch..
