Tritium color is ok guys... the tritium patina color can vary from a white-off / pale ivory to orange.

Agreed. The tritium color is fine. Also H fac did a nice job of making the numbers yellow and the markers a deeper more burned color. One aspect that is missing from this dial is the fact that the lume needs to be painted on a light cream colored plot. H factory used a yellow plot that matches the lume.

Regarding the hands I have a set waiting for use in another build that is the most yellow I have seen for gen tritium sub hands. They are still lighter than the rep.

Regarding the pearl, ideally the pearl will be somewhere between the number and the hand color. This rep pearl is not bad in that regard.

Pearl color also varies based on lighting conditions. My watch is shown below with 3 "different" pearls ;)

And finally before any conversation is made about a difference in dial color...

the D and E series used a dial that is considered more royal blue.

F series and later used a dial that had the rhodium plated surrounds and a color closer to navy blue. The rep appears to have the correct dial color.

Yes, also the indexes are different in both dial versions. One with silver outlines of the cups, the other with a blue outline matching the dial (then varnished again with a transparent enamel, like pam 187).

That's what I was referring to when I said "rhodium plated surrounds". high end dial makers typically use rhodium to plate silver colored details. This is what we see on the F Series gen.

Why do the hands corrode so much on the gen? I heard this is typical.

Dial with blue indexes is for D and E-series I suppose. Btw, HF dial, F-series, is correct :)

Tomorrow I'll take some pics of a DSN hand set from a 024A, maybe a good update for the HF 087

the D and E series hands are for sure shorter than the PAM024 hands. The dial layout is slightly different. I'm not sure about the F series, they could be the same length and shape. Regardless, a relume of the existing hands seems to be the best route as the hands are the correct shape and length. DSNs sub hands have the wrong shape.

Also, reluming the hands will cause some micro scratches and wear that will add nicely to a vintage look that the watch should have after 13 years.

I had to turn down a QC for a 087 just now because of poor CG cut-out. Waiting for a 2nd round.

Looking forward to the first wrist shots. Because I wonder how a 18,5mm looks at the wrist.
