Very interesting pics. But this problem is normal.

The matter is not the maker, but that the dial is made of different materials:

- SS/SS is a flat dial, very easy to machining and finishing
- SS/ Black ceramic dial is CF (or similar CF) no easy to machining and finishing

Seeing this bad finish of Date Window in CF version of HBB V6, we could think it is made of true CF!!

I passed by Hublot boutique yesterday and saw the SS/Ceramic CF Dial. I felt that the date window on the gen was not impressively well cut as well.

You can see the gen has this issue too

The gen flat black dial on the ss version has the extra bevelling, the gen carbon dial in the ceramic version doesn't have the extra bevelling.

In short the rep dials are replicated just like the gen counterparts so the above post wasn't researched properly......

I think, I'm saying the same!
SS/SS flat dial, date window well finished in gen and rep with extra bevelling
SS/B.ceramic CF dial, cut directly w/o extra bevelling, bad finished in gen and in rep.
Gen and rep are the same. So, perhaps the rep dial is on true CF.
What's the difference?
Sorry if my last post was not very clear (translation problems ?)

The rep dial in the ceramic version iS carbon fibre just like it's gen counterpart.

It's not possible to bevel the date window in the same way with CF that's why the cut out is different.

The Gen date window isnt finished badly, thats just the way it is with CF.

Anyway, there are some great photos of the Ceramic version on RWG.....check it out.

Date Window CF Dial HBB V6 - COMPARISON GEN vs. REP

As usually in some characteristics of GEN HUBLOT, the GEN Date windows have different versions in CF dials

I have seen at this moment two versions:

- Date window TYPE “A” BIGGER SIZE and with a kind of little extra bevelling (perhaps hand finished)

GEN DATE WINDOWS TYPE “A”


- Date window TYPE “B” normal size, just cut without extra bevelling

GEN DATE WINDOWS TYPE “B”

The version adopted in replicas HBB V6 is the TYPE “B”, normal size, just cut without extra bevelling

Differences
- The GEN is a little more defined and the edges are a bit more straight (seeing enlarged pics)
- The GEN is a little better finished, (seeing enlarged pics)
- Number fonts seem very similar

But, for all practical purposes and at natural size, date window in REP and GEN TYPE “B” are the same

Switching Straps

I assume a leather gummy strap may be better for the smaller wrist. I was considering ordering rubber & leather straps.

Is the strap easy to switch on the v6?

You must consult some user of gummy straps because I think that some rep gummy are more stiff than rubber straps.

The change of the strap in HBB is very easy, if you have some experience with tools and hand works, but you need an "H" Hublot screwdriver ( from RM about 15-20$ or Puretime 30$)
