Exporer 1 and Datejust from Josh

The edges are just fine on the Explorer. No problems at all. Feels perfect. After wearing bezel watches for so long (GMT's, etc) this one feels so light on the wrist it's unreal. I love it. Yes, the Lady Datejust has solid gold bezel, midlinks, and crown. $650 from Josh.

Exporer 1 and Datejust from Josh

I haven't compared it to a gen yet. I'm thinking the gen has a darker color (18k) gold. This was sold to me as 18k, but i'm a bit skeptical.

Exporer 1 and Datejust from Josh

Two beauties received from Josh. The Ladies Datejust has solid gold bezel, midlinks, and crown. The Explorer 1 is simple and elegant. Both have Swiss ETA movements.

Remove crystal from rollie rep...anyone know how?

I'd like to remove the crystal from a rolex rep. I realize there's a special press to install a crystal, but is the same tool used to remove one? Advice will be greatly appreciated.

Will rep rolexes ever have ceramic bezel inserts?

The ceramic bezels rolex makes are really nice looking. What are the chances of reps ever having ceramic bezels? Is the technology required to make them beyond the capabilities of the china watch factories?

U.S. files piracy complaint against China

I've been to china a few times, and copies of software, music, and movies are usually around $2US per CD/DVD. They also copy MANY things other than watches, handbags, and software. If people like Bill Gates and Rolex can't stop them, I see little chance of anyone else being able to. There's...

Review of GMT II from Josh

When dealing with such items from China, I guess some of it is to be expected. They (china) are notoriously inconsistant when it comes to manufacturing, so this really doesn't surprise me. The beauty of reps can be literally skin deep. I'm not a watchmaker or repairman, but I was able to take...

    Hello from Belgium

I will be in Antwerpen later this year. Are there any good reps for sale in Belgium?

Are there any reps made in Switzerland??

I was reading Replica-Watches-Guide.com where it's stated "Genuine Swiss made Rolex replicas are so close to a real thing that is in fact almost impossible to tell the difference." They also mention Japanese reps. Is this is just a myth, or are there really high quality reps (complete watches...

Review of GMT II from Josh

I've had this watch about a week now, and I thought I'd share my experience. THE WATCH Beautiful rep. Fantasy GMT but fools everyone except hardcore rep collectors. The bracelet is absolutely beautiful, solid, and fits and feels great on the writs. The movement was advertised as a Swiss ETA...

a good reason not buy a two-tone watch

I was looking at a friend's 2 year old two-tone sub rep this weekend. It used to look pretty good, but now about 50% of the plating is worn off and it looks like a total POS. I mean it looks horrible. I've not considered buying a plated watch and his is an example of the reason why. I regret not...

This is why I like the GMT Master

By-tor: I couldn't agree more. I used to own a genuine pepsi gmt which cost me a ton of money to get repaired each year. It was a very unreliable and inaccurate watch, but I loved its look. I think the GMT is the greatest looking watch of the rolex line. Subs are great, but I don't care for the...

GMT from Josh has 2834-2 instead of 2836-2

tourby: I will check again when I get back home where my case opener is. Maybe I made an error, but I don't think so. I will double check.

GMT from Josh has 2834-2 instead of 2836-2

Thanks Rob. I guess this movement is ok then. I just don't like surprises, especially after reading about shady dealers. This is my first mail order rep. The others I bought while overseas. I've read many good reports about Josh so I gave him my business. I still think the website should state...

GMT from Josh has 2834-2 instead of 2836-2

I just received a GMT II from Josh, opened the back, and instead of the advertised 2836-2 movement it has a 2834-2. Any idea why this is? Is the 2834-2 as good as the 2836-2?

Crazy question, but are reps available in Switzerland?

Good points, mojo. Like I said, it's a crazy question, but I thought I'd ask. I've been there many times too, and the amount of watches there is staggering. I can't imagine who's buying all those expensive swiss watches! They have every right to be proud.

Crazy question, but are reps available in Switzerland?

I'll be traveling to Switzerland and wondered if reps are available there. Seems like an unlikely place for fake swiss watches, but then again, maybe not. Anyone have any experience?

    Do you have a plan?

The hunt is quite exciting, but i enjoy the actual watches.

Should a dealer's "warranty" carry on with a sale?

I think as soon as it leaves your hands, whatever warranty you have with your dealer is void. I can't see holding a dealer responsible for warranty once it leaves your hands....even if it HAS a warranty, which I doubt it does. Do any dealers have a stated warranty on reps???

    Gold President issues

I read that someone sells solid 14k reps. if i wanted a gold or steel and gold watch, i'd only buy solid gold. A steel watch or steel and solid gold can be a permanent watch. Plating doesn't last forever, and the sooner the factory can get it out of the plating bath the better for them as it...
