Rjk1, I asked him the same question the last time I was emailing him. He said he was working on the YM. I told him the last generation GMT not the ceramic. He said one thing at a time. I told him that I would help, I'm retired and bored. LOL. I left that out. LOL. I would love to source parts and case makers and what ever. Point me in the right direction I get them. OMG would I love a TC made GMT II pepsi. Holy shit. The quality of a TC build. I already have one that I had a Gen ETA 2836-2 and a Gen Rolex crystal and even thought I messed up the watch and had to have a watchmaker fix it, I did a Gen tube and crown. Can't wait for that day

I also PM'ed him to buy one. He probably has a list of 15 people already.

Man, if TC could produce a killer 16710 pepsi with this level of dial quality that would be amazing. Misiekped can modify a Y3135 into a gen functionality 3185!! He has done it for himself with his GMTIIC franken build and has issued some quotes to other members. Put that into the TC with a gen insert and you would have the absolute perfect 16710. Maybe gen hands would be needed, but maybe not.

Let's hope he gets around to doing a 16710 soon!

I just got an email from TC too, 60 day wait for this. I think for those who wishes a TC GMT , the biggest hurdle for him would be a movement that is trouble free and reliable. BK said the gmt's movement is not as reliable and the 3rd hand skips sometimes.

That's why if he could produce everything else except for the movement, then you could buy the Yuki 3135 and have Misiekped modify it. He replaces parts with gen parts and converts it into a 3185, which is what the 16710 had. You would need gen hands, and the mod isn't cheap, but then you'd have the best possible 16710 out there.

or TC could just use a genuine eta 2836 and have the gmt gears made which would take the place of the day function, 2824 is date only 2836 is day date and you can use the day mech to run the gmt hand at least that's my understanding

I have just pulled the trigger on the YM before even having received my last order of V6. I gotta say, TC is the man and I can't wait to wear his stunning work on my wrist!

Mendota he has done it for me. I had him build me a 116710 for me. Everything Rolex but the case band and it has a hybrid Yuki/rolex 3185. He did an amazing job. When he serviced my gen 3135 and built me my sub 16610 I had him take my TC 16610LV and take a yuki 3135 and he made the Yuki movement amazing by changing all the things that go wrong with the yuki, using gen rolex parts. At the time he just built his gmt and was showing it to me. I wanted it in the worst way so he had me start buying the parts. I brought everything. That's right! Thanks for reminding me. I completely forgot that this was you! I remember reading that thread when you posted about it. I was blown away by it. Are you still happy with it after you've had it for this time?

I think it is amazing that Misiekped can do this.

I wonder if anyone else produces a really top notch 16710 case? Something on the level of what TC does or even Phong?

One thing worth mentioning is, to pad print on an uneven surface, like the platinum Yacht-Master 16622's dial, and still produce the raised printed text is a lost art. I'm very happy my British friend mastered this lost art.

I do some pad prints and I really understand the difficulty of what you mentioned. True art.
