Second question, Do you have a source for an engraved VS3135? all the ones i ordered from aliX are sterile and only have the 3135 stamp. Even after asking the sellers, they can't provide a proper one.

May I ask why a fully engraved movement is so important for you? I mean Rolex had just solid case backs in the past so nobody can see the movement therefore.
And even if the movement would be fully engraved it will always be a clone movement and can be easily identified as a such by the balance construction which is different to the free sprung Rolex Microstella balance.

I do use these, make sure you get the 116233/116234 - this one will thread straight into the Raffles DJ case.

The 16013 crown doesn't work on Raffles case without retapping right? I guess visually they're not really that different and in any case it's better than the stock Raffles one.

For the price of the case they're ok, but they don't look even close to gen and the upgrade is only a few bucks more.

Simply because i prefer it but not a must. The watch stays with me and i invested alot in gen parts so i was just wondering

I see your point. But also if the movement would be fully engraved it will be still a clone movement.
To be honest, I realized some really crazy builds and I do not care any longer if a clone movement is engraved or not. Much more important for me is the reliability of a clone movement. And therefore I'll stay with - even not engraved - Dandong 3135 movement wherever it is possible. Unfortunately they do not sell a clone version of the 3185 nor is a 3130 from them separately available. My bad.
And converting a 3135 to a hybrid 3185 with Gen parts is really really really fu***ng expensive. Maybe I'll go that route once again.

i saw this new Raffles build and was shocked to hear the case is stock. The lugs look thinner and super crisp.

So i emailed Ken, and he confirmed that the new 36mm 2824 cases are updated to have thinner lugs.

Does anyone know which day date bezels fit the 16013 and 16233? I see 18038 bezels stating they fit the 16013 (but not the 16233) even though that DD-reference has the sapphire crystal…

I can confirm that my two-tone build has a 1016 caseback and the 3135 rotor clears. It does make it a little bit thicker, but it's barely noticeable. I've bought

After buying this crown and it sticking out a bit i've decided to replace the 2836 raffles casetube with the one new included one. The crown should be a 24-603-0 with a 24-5300 casetube, am I correct in saying that I need a M2.5×0.25 tap?

Last update on my 2023 build, new Raffles Jubilee bracelet, clasp purchased separately sanded, modified, polished and satined with GEN adjustment pin. The clasp that came with the bracelet did not have the good quality of the old one, the coronet was too close to the edge so it was replaced. In the future I would like to replace the dial with a GEN always black, now mounted is the Raffles, not bad but not perfect!

The crown you bougth have different threads from the inside, so that's why it's not in completely. I had a few crowns with the same problem. Either replace the tube or buy new crown that is correct size for the tube.

The crown tube is the one that came with the crown, I think the threading on the crown itself is not machined well.

Can confirm I bought one of these recently and went crazy trying to find a tube that it screwed all the way down on. I ended up chucking it in the parts bin and finding another crown.
