thinning the crown is easy but I believe it might effect the WR. Since you cant fully turn the crown in touching the case, or else the stem should push further into the mvt.

just shorten the stem by the same amount that was removed from the crown

Does the latest Buff still contain the green tint? Can the real sunburst of the dial be seen in Buff's QC pics?

The green is still there but it is only under strong yellow light directly flashing at the dial in some angle only. It never show in real life using in normal room light or sunlight. Buff QC pic is filtered. His picture never come close of what the dial really looks. I honestly think his picture made his watch look way worse. Just look at the picture i post and look at his qc , totally different

I thought of that. However 3k does have different bezel variations. And some of the older bezel the crown look correct thinckess since the design of the crown guard is more inward.
But i dont think 3k got different length of stem .

Never said it was a gen. What are you smoking bro?

Don't get defensive "bro!" what I am saying is that buff dial, regardless of which version you have, is still very far away from gen and doesn't justify the price. One is better off with the ppf or 3kf rep dial.

Yes point taken. I posted those pictures for comparison, not to insist that it was close to gen or anything like it.

The point of the ppf v4 being better and 3kf rep dial is your opinion.

My opinion is that whichever way you look at it , the buff is better than the ppf v4 and 3kf as there is more finese to the dial. To each his own. We base our opinions over different things we value in a rep.

Not a gen dial though. Gen dial sunburst is not that strong as it is on the rep.

It really depends on what year and light. I am not saying buff is perfect, but guys have to accept there are different version of gen too. There is definitely sunblast version of gen, already shown so many examples. Ppf color is way too plain. It just look fake right away.
here are sunblast of gen

In addition, if you buy a used gen now a day, u might not even have a gen case. I seen lots of used gen with fat crown. Most likely used shop use CNC case with all gen parts and sell it off as gen. think of it this way, everytime when a gen watch get popular, 2nd hand shop will have loads of stock . Are there really that much stock they can get? Same as the ap 15202, in china you can get a CNC case with gen movement, gen dial and a 1:1 white gold hands for the price of only $2000usd . Noone can ever call out that and used shop are reselling at $90k usd. If you live in china or hongkong , you will see this franken watch everywhere

That is just absolute nonsene :) Of cause you cant buy a gen dial, movement and hands for 2000 USD, no matter what kinda of case it comes in.
