This is an example of gen 2018 116610lv with bezel below the insert and this one never been in service. I also have few more photos for gen with flushed crystal but I won't post it here.
So I think some gens got this problem tho. What do you think

but the scallops shape of the bezel teeth doesnt looks gen to me. Maybe its just the angle of the shot.

The thing about bracelets. Its extremely subjective. Ive read so many varying opinions from people who have gens as well as other reps including ARF. Plus people often times compare a factory new vsf bracelet to "worn-in" ARF bracelets.
Also apparently gen service hands directly from Rolex are slightly thicker and look more like the VSF hands.
Ah, I've been trying to read up on what people were thinking about the VSF bracelet, but usually they just say it's incomparable without actually saying why. With the ZZFs one of the main points is since they started using the ARF bracelet, it's become very nice. I bought and sold my ARF LN last year and comparing it to my gen LN, it was very smooth. Clasp closed good. I also bought a VRF Max Hulk ( I know, completely different comparison) but you could tell the bracelet wasn't that well made. A bit clunky and the clasp was not as smooth as the ARF. That's why I'm having such a tough time because I worry the VSF bracelet / clasp won't be as smooth as the ZZF's ARF bracelet.
I read that the service hands were also a bit thicker so I'm not too worried about it now. I have a gen DW and Prof crystal I was gonna put in the ZZF if I get that. But with the VSF , seems I don't have to bring it to watch smith and change anything.

If this is gen, just goes to show the QC of Rolex's over the past few years, and we even have to ask ourselves if it's worth buying a gen now

that for sure means it’s the wrong gasket or crystal sorry to say. It should stick out of the bezel about a half mm or slightly less. But yeah that’s def got something wrong. I would never buy a gen sub with a crystal that’s inverted or even flush personally.
the person you bought it from probably did not get it serviced at a RSC or if it went through service at a service center, it’s an error they made and they should fix for free.
my new gen 41 is not flush, it sticks out. My Batman sticks out. Not like the old acrylic crystal watches but still they stick out from the bezel.

Haha absolutely it’s worth it. Value retention alone lol. In fact if you purchase a sub at retail, which I did; I could’ve immediately flipped it for $4k..no desire. On top of that the quality is EXTREMELY better on a gen. Only reason I bought a rep sub is because I was unsure if I wanted a sub as I’d never had one. As soon as I got my zzf v3 my ad called with my new sub date. Reps don’t even come close to the fine details. I could spot a rep now easily after a couple weeks of having a gen. But that’s just me, maybe my vision is above normal lol. But yes, gen sub, always worth it. Even gray market. You can get a 2019 or 2020 116610ln for $12k on rolexforums.com and the price of that watch will only continue to rise over time.
here’s my honest review on Reddit comparing my new gen 41 with the best sub rep, a zzf v3. And yes I have had the other “best sub rep” and the v3 blows it out of the water.

Does it look like CF has updated the bezel again there's a bezel to insert small gap like gen and insert sits lower in the bezel like gen.
Or I'm just imagining things.
Its doesn't look like my V2S its more flush with bezel and no gap.

Honestly looking at the teeth on the bezel and the fact that the glass is indented... I’m not sure this watch is gen. Or at least the bezel is not gen. Maybe they sold the gen bezel and then bought a rep to replace it with so they could max profit. Idk. I’m like looking at my 41mm sub rn and the teeth are way different. Maybe it’s just the angle though ????

Bro the v3 is pretty damn good. Best sub rep in the game that’s for sure. Still not gonna be close to gen but not sure they ever will be. There’s always gonna be something that sets apart a rep from a gen. Just pull the trigger and buy one ????????
