Even so, it’s the only visible difference for me with both my gen and rep in hand. That and the date wheel obviously but that’s going to be changed. I’m just wondering if there’s a way to fix it with a gasket? I mean the crystal is supposed to have the same thickness as gen so perhaps they just used the wrong gasket?

for me it’s a dead giveaway. It’s something I would notice right away as it’s something I’ve always looked at with gen vs rep. But that’s just me.

If the bezel doesn’t sit close enough to the midcase due to a worn or wrong sized bezel gasket then the insert would be higher than its supposed to. Or if the insert isn’t seated all the way in the bezel assembly. Or the retainer isn’t pushed down close enough to the midcase where its ridge holds the bezel higher.

Or the crystal gasket or the crystal itself is the wrong size.

I’ve found that once you’ve removed the bezel even once, the bezel gasket bends and doesn’t hold as tight as before so it’s good to pick up replacements which I believe should fit these genlike spec reps unlike ARF which had its own gasket

I’m having my gasket size changed when it goes in for a datewheel swap. Should fix the problem.

Bezel seems fine. I’m betting it’s a wrong size gasket. Others seem to have flush crystals as well on their v3’s so I doubt it’s the glass unless they didn’t make the correct glass thickness across the board. I’ll have the gasket changed when I go in for datewheel replacement. This watch is definitely incredible how it is.

is there someone on here that services these watches? I’ve tried searching and haven’t gotten very far and have gotten some no’s.

Just received my zzf v3... the crystal is flush with the bezel and not raised at all like my gen. Anyone have any idea how to correct this? Would a different gasket solve this issue?

also as others have said, the bezel is a bit more difficult to turn compared to my gen. Not sure if anyone has recieved a v3 with correct crystal height and or easily rotating bezel? If so, let me know.

the watch is absolutely incredible besides those two issues. I feel like the crystal height is a dead giveaway that it’s a rep though so that’s a bit annoying.

I'm not sure if this is only with the gen LV version or this happens to LN too, but many LV I've seen got almost flushed crystal or just a hairline raised from bezel.

I am so torn between this zzf v3 or vsf hulk. I think if I am going to put in a gen dw and prof crystal, the zzf is a better choice with the better hands + bracelet. Whereas if I go with the VSF, I might not have to change dw / crystal at all.. but will have an inferior bracelet and fat hands. Movement wise it seems to be a toss up since the reliability is unknown on the latter. You guys think it's good idea to get the v3 and put in gen dw and prof crystal?

This is an example of gen 2018 116610lv with bezel below the insert and this one never been in service. I also have few more photos for gen with flushed crystal but I won't post it here.

So I think some gens got this problem tho. What do you think

That insert should be slightly lower than the outer edge of the bezel also so maybe its just not seated correctly

Honestly, I've seen something like this on gen twice. But many times for crystal flushed with bezel or just a hairline raised.

Ps. Weird thing is I've seen this only on hulk model.
