I completely agreed with your first post and was going to say the EXACT same thing, but you beat me to it. I’m “new” to the rep game as well; nevertheless we’re mature and educated individuals who can recognize bias when we see it and know what we value in any replica we purchase. I do believe it’s not best practice for a replica factory to state a watch is made of 904L when it’s not. But it’s also not fair to falsely advertise “upgrades or changes” in a watch that aren’t present.

very good and better than the zzf v2 I also have.
i ordered the zzf v3 and I think that with the dial, rehaut and bracelet updates this will be the best no date in the end.

And I hope ZF and VSF no date version will be better. If ZZF never happened we might still be enjoying our No date noob V8 as the best no date.

I have stated this in the other Thread on this - let me copy here. Just an unbiased opinion. Here you go:

Again - a biased „test“ from a factory (and a TD being close to them - who in another Thread hyped the ZF release and suddenly disappeared when critics became loud) just about to lunch their own sub, pointing at the market leader, all the while their new product is is not well received so far (yes, not seen in QC yet - agree), is just fishy. That’s all. I appreciate the discussion, but I do not accept biased opinions, which in the end are just marketing bs.

May a real, independent, unbiased test show the truth. I do not care about any of these Chinese copying machine factories - they are just about making dollars. Which is totally fine. But do not expect any moral. Money talks - certainly (also) in Chinese rep business, with that competition around. Among factories - and among TDs.

I remember once I asked you about the EXPLORER 1 and you told me that there is no point in buying a 904l Explorer if there is a 316L version.
Honestly, if the private result ( if anyone does a test) would come out that all factories lied about using 904l I would not be surprised at all.

I don't think a test being "biased" if the result was accurate. I am sure someone in this forum will test and verify this for us soon.

By the way, there is nothing wrong with ZF or PT showing this test to promote their products (as long as what they said was true). It might benefit them but definitely benefit us (end consumers) too.
Some might not care and still love their ZZFs, but for others 316L might be a deal breaker. Besides, I would assume that there are a lot of people don't like being lied to and paying for something that is falsely advertised.

I think it’s good to know at least what we are paying for instead what the factory’s want that we believe.
I don’t have problems with higher prices when they really give us upgrades so the Franken route will be shorter..
untill now all my super Frankens are ARF 904L base (case bracelet)
and I don’t see why PT shouldn’t post this information, I think it will benefit the whole community..

Yeah this is my hobby mate you maybe want a straight OOTB?
But I have the availability to find all gen parts for any SS watch included brand new movement’s with blue parachorome hairspring.
and just need the best quality base..

maybe it’s to much for other people and everyone has their own budget to spent.
so indeed for me nothing beats until now the case and bracelets of ARF.

I never have the intention to sell them,and want to keep them
just for my self.

Everyone has its ow reason to be in the rep game.
And we all have to respect each other’s choices.
but I can’t stand ARF SH movements and the DW and xtal is IMO off on any rep..
bur again this is just my opinion and opinions are like holes : everyone hav one(ore more)

hope you will find a rep that suits your needs!
