Today I had the chance to put a Gen GMT on my wrist.
I canceled my Name on the list, a great watch indeed but to big for me...

I think this is the problem with the Black Bays in general. The new 58 however... different story!

I guess I agree it wears bigger than a sub...but I feel like it wears smaller than an Omega CrPO or Spectre. I dont really have an issue with the size and I have a small(er) sized wrist.

Any news?

I’m expecting a call from the AD in October, and I don’t really want to give them my money.

As far as the movement is concerned, the ZF won't have a patch on the Tudor in-house movement. Visually, it will have an incorrect hand stack but on the wrist, it should be as good as gen.

Of course, but it would be a big purchase for me. And generally I would prefer to have 6 90% reps than 1 gen. I’ll decide when it comes out

I sold my BBB for this, anyone want to take bets on whether we'll see another shootout between ZF and XF?

Really excited for this release! Some of the other ZF black bays are of a very good quality imo, here's hoping this is the same.

I have tried the gen today. Lovely. But man - 3600 € is a number.

I personally prefer to have a ZF with a decent a2836 with 2 d power reserve instead of an „inhouse movement“. If the 2836 breaks I will just buy a second one...

Are there any news from the factory?

How bad is this one, at least as a stop-gap measure? Just a DHGate rep though

It's not that good out of the box, it has a low end 21j 3804 movement with a non-independent gmt hand, ugly hour hand, too thick crown, and the blue on the bezel insert isn't correct. Not to mention that the price from the seller you linked is too high.
I purchased one a few months ago for $96.00, lucky for me it arrived DOA so DHgate gave me half my money back :) .
I modded the dial and crown, added a A2836-gmt movement and a new hand set for a total build cost of about $135.00. It'll do until the ZF is released!

Hopefully some news on this soon. Suspense is through the roof for this one.
