14.5mm thickness and 50.2mm lug-to-lug should be wearable for a sports watch with GMT on most wrists IMO.

U.K.
I owned the gen upon its release and the case is different in several ways. It is thicker hence the chamfer on the underside of the case plus the rehaut is much more shallow allowing the movement to sit higher in the case.

Why is that out of curiosity? I’m tempted too but the thickness of the gen is very unappealing to me.

I have too many WTB at the moment! I love the idea of a gmt, but really have no use for it and have never owned one. I love Tudor as a brand, but again don’t own any

Been hearing there were issues with the date change on the Gens. Any feedback from the gen owners here?

i have a SS version GEN on order and my buddy is getting the strap version for 10% off retail, as these are very popular. Strap is available immediately but SS bracelet version is back order 8 to 10 weeks. I also bought the GEN black bay chrono and just bought a rep of green black bay here with SS bracelet and it fits perfectly on the GEN and looks great, clasp is not as solid, but overall very good

I’ve got a gen ordered too. They are telling me late November though. U.K. is probably worse than elsewhere.

The thickness of this is quite off-putting. Especially if it gets put on a nato it will sit so high. Any more wrist shots of the gens? Are they heavy wearing?

Yes it’s thick but there is a brutish charm to it. It’s a heavy watch but I’ve not stopped wearing it since I got it and I don’t feel any wrist fatigue.

Wow, that looks like a DSSD almost! I had no idea it was so tall. Perhaps the Rep can be 'improved' but slimming it down lol.

So the BB GMT is 15 mm thick which is the same as the Sea Dweller. The DSSD is 17 mm thick.

It’s not a svelte watch and I knew that despite having a rounded 6.25” wrist. However, it’s comfortable to wear and so far has been the only watch I own that people on the street have asked me about.

That's great to know, thanks.

By the way, my comments weren't a criticism, just an expression of surprise. I think it's a beautiful watch (and I love and wear big watches like the DSSD all the time).

Enjoy it, is a beaut!

So that's 3.8mm thicker than the regular black bay which is quite a bit. Looks like a purposeful watch with that thickness, Although if it was to be put onto a leather strap you would almost want one which ties into the solid end links to avoid seeing loads of bare metal behind the bars.
Still want one!
