Right guys, my ZF has arrived(10 days from order to delivered to U.K. by Intime!). I’m not one for lengthy reviews and will mainly let the pics do the talking.
First impressions are bright white lume as it should be and we’ll applied to both dial and hands.
The markers look straight to the naked eye but my 13pro shows they are slightly out but not enough to bother me on the wrist.
Straight away this puts the VSF to the bottom of the pile for me. Case, bezel, crystal clarity, dial and hands all push it to the top in my eyes. ORF suffers from shallow bezel teeth and also inconsistent ar coating quality and VSF from shallow cg’s and off white lume issues albeit better in most lighting nowadays. I don’t have an ORF right now but I think ZF has whiter lume as per the gen. Cg’s are a close battle between ZF and ORF but look very similar.
ZF movement looks good but has a free spinning rotor but soon sorted with a small amount of mobieus D5 and cured that!
The bracelet is in second place behind ORF. It is quite sharp edged but many are and actually some genuine Omega owners complain of this! ORF has by far the best sels and the best polished bracelet sections. ZF and VSF have near indentical end links but the ZF has marginally better polished sections of the bracelet. They are thinner than VSF so look less square(see pics further down). Clasps are pretty much equal and all have good engraving etc. I’ll let you view the pics now and draw your own conclusions.
