@Reaps is correct, these marks where material has been removed from the balance wheel are "poise" corrections. The purpose of them is to make that mass distribution as symmetric as possible on the balance wheel. On reps you'll typically see at most two poise corrections. On a gen you may see up to ten. Poising is done on a rather expensive machine and is time consuming. The better the poise of the balance wheel, the more consistent the timekeeping of the watch will be across various orientations.
Thank you sir for your explanation. Always love to learn more about watches and have an expert explain it.

Question for ZF owners - have you experienced any movement issues so far?

I didn’t encounter this before, but now when winding the watch from a stop the movement works intermittently and often stops altogether. When fully wound it usually takes a few taps to get going and once it starts it keeps accurate time for the full 55+ hours.
This is the same for both of my RMs, not sure where to start on this 😕
Here is a video of the issue I mentioned earlier. I’m thinking it just needs a good cleaning but would appreciate any other thoughts!

It's kind of similar to my BBR. I wouldn't worry about it too much to be honest.

I can see in the video the main springs are not fully wound yet, that's probably why. Just wind it up fully and then tap it to get the balance wheel start.

I would only worry about this issue if you have it fully wounded up but it still has that stuttering/intermittent issue.

is @puretime going through some issues? I have ordered a ton of watches in the past and never had an issue, now been fighting since last Friday to confirm a payment for a ZF55 and it is impossible to get someone to engage, I know they changed their domain, but still... weird..

who do you advise to contact? I have tried all their emails multiple times, providing the same information I always provide when I make a payment, and no answer. They sent me 2-3 times the same email to fill in the payment details...

Have you PMd puretime here? Although he replies slower here. PM me and I will send emails I use to contact him and his staff.
